I breastfed through my pregnancy (tandem feeding now). Just made sure I was eating well and drinking plenty of water, my midwife didn't tell me to do anything extra and she was well aware I was feeding Lauren still.

Hope it goes well! Have heard its uncomfortable for some women but only found it was a little more tender in the early months. Good luck! Hope it goes well. Don't listen to all the people who say you should stop if you do want to keep feeding - I found most people would just expect I'd wean Lauren automatically.

As Kali1 said, you should just be eating and drinking a bit more. A vitamin would probably be a good idea, just to ensure that you, baby and toddler are all getting what you need.
Maybe talk to La Leche League, to get some more ideas - they are really great.

Would definately suggest a pg vitamin to make sure you are not lacking there...

Nothing else really, my little dude self weaned last week which can happen apparently due to composition and supply so just keep that in the back of your mind.

I did find my nipples were very sensitve and latching was a nightmare (especially when his molars came in) but it was bearable. They were just as sensitive with my first pregnancy so I wasnt surprised.

Enjoy! Like Kali said, you dont have to wean but people will still tell you too... everyone has an opinion right!

We're still BF here and I am entering my 6th month of pregnancy (OMG?! ). Clodagh is showing no signs of weaning really...some days has more than others but I'm on the 'don't offer, don't refuse' boat lol.

Like the others say, just keep up your fluids and try to eat a healthy diet..you *might* need a few more calories depending on your weight when you started your pg. I had lost alot of weight while BF Clodagh before I got pg and then was very sick the first 4 months or so of this pg, so haven't gained that much but no doubt will catch up hehe.

I am taking Floradix (when I remember) as we're vegetarian, and I made sure I recently had my iron, folate and B12 checked and it was all nice and high. Keep your mw informed and no doubt she'll be supportive. LLL are fantastic at helping with these sorts of issues and if you can, borrow their book 'Adventures in Tandem Feeding'...its great!

Yay so glad there are some breast feeding mums who are pregnant here as i have been wandering this myself. I still breastfeed DS 13months old 3x a day and have just found out we are pregnant with #2 but are keeping it quiet so couldnt really ask my friends. I was planning to keep feeding til at least 15months then decide if we wana continue.
