Most people get super dressed up, it's the wearable arts awards so anything and everything will go (actually it usually does in Wellington anyway!).

I'm not thinking ball gowns and pearls but not jeans and a t shirt either.

And Tishy is right, bring a jacket!

My BIL is down from Auckland currently and commented that the weather is currently better in Wellington than Auckland.
I dont think its freezing, its actually seemed quite warm and my family/friends agree. I hate the cold so prefer to wrap up warm but havnt needed to this week (at least) during the day, evening is a bit cold tho, need the jacket then.
I would dress up, not balgown but really nice dress, heels etc.

we've had snow this week and the wind is whipping the cold down off the hills making for some cold windy days. Although the sun has been shining it's heart out so if you are inside in a sunny spot it's really really nice. Lots of layers.

Stadium can be BONE CHILLINGLY COLD (for the soccer), colder than you can imagine, esp in the wind is doing circuits inside.
