Topic: is this an allergy, disease or bites Posted: 27 November 2010 at 2:12pm |
My little boy has got these red things on his face, and I don't know what they are from. Can anyone who knows help me out, are they an allergy or a disease (e.g. chicken pox) or bites
He only has them on his face, Had 1 yesterday and now that one is bigger and he has a couple more.
He has heaps of allergies so is probably reacting worse to whatever it is than he should be
That big one was the first one to come up, that was yesterday, it was only that middle raised bit tho, now today it is that big. They are alot redder than they look in the photo.

Hives maybe? I used to get lumps like that on my arms and legs (kinda like sandfly bites) and they were itchy as hell. It was some sort of seasonal allergy and was triggered by the lawns getting mowed, so I assume it was an allergy to pollen or grass seeds or somthing like that. Is he scratching at all?

Nah he doesn't seem itchy or anything. He usually gets hives under his chin when he has a reaction to something, The ones he gets there look different to that, like small raised bumps that come really quick and last for a while then go away really quick as well.
I noticed he is getting a small patch of excema back on his chest so must have had something that didn't agree with him sometime in the last week

They look a bit like bites...
Perhaps, if there are no other symptoms, just see what they do over the next day or two..?

Is he fully clothed? Look like sandflies are biting him if you ask me. Take him to a doctor though.

I thought Joy's spots were bites/allergies too....but turned out to be chicken pox. Go see the doc just to be on the safe side. Hope he gets better soon, whatever it is.

I would say hives but definately take him to a dr. Regardless of what they are it is always better to get it documented incase it happens again.
