Hi everyone :)

This is my second pregnancy, however my first one only made it to 9 weeks. My husband and I decided to stop taking the pill expecting it to take at least 9 months to conceive, like last time, and this time it took only 1 month! Go figure!

Anyway, I've been getting decent abdominal pains for about 3 weeks - it's like day 1 of a relatively bad period. The pain lasts about 15-30 seconds each time. But the difference with this time is that I've been feeling quite sick - like I've been on a roller coasted 100 times I've been almost completely off food and am really struggling to make sure I eat.

I have my first scan tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if other people have had the same experiences? And how did it turn out for you?

Thanks :)

Scan is showing about 6 weeks now! I was really hoping it was further but looks like we're facing about 2 more months of this car sickness! Heartbeat was 120+ so it's looking really good this time :) Slowly starting to sink in and we're feeling pretty good.

I don't know if it will work for you, but potato and powerade makes me feel much better if only for a short time :)

Congrats - from what I've read hearing the heartbeat is good. I had a missed miscarriage at 8wks last year so understand how you're feeling.
Car sickness is awesome.....hmmm. My thing has been fizzy water but even that's lost its shine. I'm ok if I eat regularly and don't get too thirsty. Feel like I'm eating every 5mins!!!

Try dry ginger ale! I've been on that all week and it's truly made a huge difference! Also get some Nauzene - it's motion sickness medication but is safe and works within 30mins. It's safe to take 3 times a day but I only need it twice. It doesn't make me 100% better, but enough that I can focus, work and eat.

I'm having another scan at 9 weeks due to the last one. You must be due about July 20th? I'm 28th -2 days after my birthday!

Omg I can't believe I didn't think of ginger ale!!! That's me today lol.
Not feeling any worse (still crappy lol) so in a bit of a routine now that not long after I wake it's a piece of marmite on toast then later some cereal. I'm a teacher so I make sure I eat before school starts too cos I can't make it to break time without feeling gross. Feels like I'm eating all day!
Glad you've found something to help that lets you eat. I'm lucky I don't feel as bad as that.
