how do i transport expressed breast milk? Im going to a course tomorrow and want to take some just in case as im not breastfeeding Ava anymore, just expressing and using formula.

I have a bag with insulated pockets - do i just put the bottle in there? I'll only be out for a few hours.

You'll be fine popping in one of the pockets and keeping it at room temperature for a few hours - I've read it keeps for 8-10 hours (or more) at room temperature as bacteria doesn't grow very quickly in breast milk, compared to cows milk for example.

Yep, what Anna said. I used to take the gremlins EBM in the insulated pockets of my nappy bag. When we were travelling I used a small cooler bag with an icepack.

It's fine at room temp for up to 12 hours. I used to take their night bottles out and put them on the bench before I went to bed so they were at room temp by the time they wanted feeding and didn't take so long to warm.
