Sorry too hear Lease - It is abit of a limbo I don't know how too feel deal etc stage..
I lost my lil one 3 weeks ago and are still dealing with it. we had a miscarriage in August and decided too try again straight away and got pregnant then I miscarried that one also. We are taking a break at the moment and just using the withdrawl method as I know I'm not ready..

I'm waiting for AF 8dpo and was suppose too go out this weekend but I'm so afraid of what this AF will be like I have cancelled just in case its bad.

Its so weird knowing I'm waiting for AF and trying too stop myself buying any tests even tho I know I'm not UTD. I spent so many months buying tests and peeing on sticks that this part I think is the strangest for me. I just hope she shows up on time and doesn't play havoc with my mind.

I often lurk in here but don't often post. With not actively ttcing I think I'm still in limbo land knowing I would be going for my 12 week scan next week :(.. I just want the near year too start so we can start TTC again.. Apparently i'm due too O on new years eve according too my charts :)

So Ive taken an extra day off work, I didnt sleep very well and it made things extra hard.. The bit I am struggling with is the waiting, how do I know how long it will take before it all properly comes to an end? Ive been told that if nothing had happened by the end of next week then I am to go to the doctor. My parents are coming up in a month, I dont want to be still dealing with this then..

Everyone is different when it comes to miscarrying. Here's my experience - I had a scan on the Thursday, was told hadn't progressed and I would miscarry. I opted to wait naturally for various reasons and on the Friday a week later I started bleeding. I bled for 7 days Total and then had l a few days of random spotting for another week.
But like I say everyone is different. I was also further along which I think can make things last longer. I hope it all happens quickly for you

Lease my bleeding started a week after I got my HCG results and wasnt nearly as heavy as I had imagined it to be - still not pleasant though of course :( It sucks just waiting for it and being in limbo. I hope you start feeling better soon and can look forward to trying again. Everyone on here is an amazing support. Hugs xx

It is recommended that you don't use tampons because your cervix will be open and the risk of introducing infection is higher than normal.
The bleeding for me was like a normal period but heavier, lasted longer. Most of the days I bled I had only a tiny amount of cramping (like usual for me) but I did have 2 days where I had more severe cramping. One 3 hour period was almost unbearable. Unfortunately I was on holiday in Rarotonga (bad bad timing) and had no pain relief. So I would say, make sure you have some paracetamol and ibuprofen with you at all times just in case you are caught unawares. Other than that, I would use pads only.

Feel free to ask any other questions you want to. Nothing will phase me :D

Hey lease as has been said already everyone's experience is different but thought I might share my experience.

I was 8wks had a few brown spots that I wasn't worried bout but mentioned to mw and she decided to send me for scan, Wednesday had scan couldn't see anything so had to do internal baby measured 5wk3d, Friday night I had huge cramps but not so bad I needed pain relief passed some large clots, next day it was just a heavy period with a few clots that lasted 2-3days then tapered off over next couple days the out of nowhere I had some more cramps and passed a couple of clots but that was the en of it. Mw sent me for another scan to check and they said I had retained tissue, probably two weeks after the very first scan I was prescribed misoprostal given vaginally which did nothing, then after some more bloods and another scan af showed up on its own bang on time.

Whoa that was a marathon but point is trust ur body it'll usually do what it needs to- although not that I would have listened to that advice 6wks ago

Thanks Bub. I am doing my best. Seems I found out pretty early and pretty quickly that it wasnt going to progress so there might be more waiting for me that some of the rest of you.

Are hot flashes normal? Or just raised temperature? I'm sitting on the couch watching tv in shorts and tshirt with no heating on and I'm pretty much sweating just sitting here!!

I'm so sorry Lease :( hugs x

I agree with what the ladies here have said about everyone's experiences being very different. I also think that how far along you are seems to have a pretty big impact. Hopefully because you are quite early, your experience should not be too painful, and hopefully more like a heavy period.

Like bubno, I was given misoprostal to speed things up (missed miscarriage), but in my case my body reacted VERY badly to the drug, so honestly, it's so hard to know what your body will do. As your HCG is coming down steadily, your body should get the memo soon. I'm so sorry you are in this waiting time, I know how truly horrible that is. Big love. Xx
