Topic: TV3 - Not cool Posted: 02 March 2009 at 7:54pm |
Really not cool showing photos of Antonie Dixon's body (including his head and face) after he died. We did not need to see that. And it's not the first time they've been on (over) the limit in terms of what they broadcast.

I think I will make a complaint, because there are at least 3 times they have shown dead bodies on TV in prime time. I don't feel that showing his body added to the programme - they were trying to illustrate the injuries, suggesting some one else did it. They could have done it another way.

It's pretty gross but they did say to look away from the screen.... I did, DF did not and told me it was yuck.

Agreed.
It's all about the ratings, they just try to disguise it as news.

Woah I didn't see it, but sounds like they have stepped over the line especially at that time of the evening!

They did say to look away as some footage may offend.

Not easy to hear when you have an overtired baby! Yes, I'd be mightly pissed if they didn't say anything, but regardless, it was OTT. And, TBH, I'm probably a bit immune to the phrase "warning - content may offend" - it's used so often now

i saw it and didn't think it was that bad. the warning made me freak out and wonder what was to follow, but it was ok and it definately looked like he was bashed by someone other than himself
but if you are upset about it, definately let them know.
