We have just moved into a new house and it has a very strange oven in it and I dont understand the little icons on the oven part of it....so I have no idea what is bake/grill etc. There is no instruction manual in the house anywhere. It is not a common brand, the only name I can find on it is Sikura Calor. I have tried searching online but I cant find what I am looking for.
So just wondering if any of you by chance have one of these ovens or know someone that does that may be able to tell me what the icons mean.

 TIA

Is it an electric / gas oven, is it freestanding or does it come with a separate hob and oven.
What do the icons look like?

At a guess I'd say that
 top one means bake

the next one to the right is fan

 next one is fan bake

 next is grill and fan

next, and last is just grill

 maybe. HTH

hmmm I thought that at first as well but it seems that the top one is off because nothing happens till you move it to one of the other positions.

I dont think you have just bake - the top one is off surely.
then fan - presuming you have checked no heat comes out then? get DP to stick his head in there
   fan bake
 grill with fan
 then grill
teach you for having a fancy new house all the way over there!

I would think the icons on the left side are the grill options so grill and fan grill. From memory, I could be wrong here though grill only the top element inside the oven goes and I seem to remember it being red hot. I just googled and there is this company http://www.calor.co.uk/ |

Hello! Haha, I like modern ovens, it is always so difficult to understand how it is working without any instruction. Did you think about just buying a new one? You can also check an article about some affordable microwave 2020 . Modern microwaves are not similar to those which were made in previous years.
