hi oxy23,
I'm B+. It's not that some are better than others as far as I know. Some are more common than others and some like yours are more compatible. You are a universal doner so anyone can take your blood. There's another that's a universal receiver. Can't remember biology from uni anymore sorry.

I am O negative too.
I dont think any particular one is better than others. I am glad, though, I am a common blood type and if I needed blood, there wouldn't be a shortage!

do you mean in terms of having a baby?after first baby negative blood groups need an anti - d injection I think(correct me if I'm wrong) I'm A+ .... Ethan is AB+......rare!:(

I think I'm B+ but I'm not actually sure. Suppose I should get that checked out at some point.
I don't think any one type is better than another, just which ones are more common that others and which are compatible with others in case of a ned for transfusion or something.

I'm o neg as well. You only need an antiD injection if your baby has a positive blood type.
My baby is A- so I didn't need an injection.

I am O- too, according to the Blood peoples poster 7% of people in NZ are that blood type.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Im O- too....
I had to have the anti d injection both times during the labour cos at that stage they dont know what blood type baby will be. Both my kids are B- I think

Yip thats right only 1% of nzers have AB-. I'm B+ which is at 9% Most nzers are O+

I'm o+ but is it bad that I dont know my own DS's blood type?  I only know mine cos they had it on my hospital discharge notes when I left hospital after having him lol
No idea what DP's is, and he doesnt know it either... how would you find out what your blood type is?
