hi oxy23,

I'm B+. It's not that some are better than others as far as I know. Some are more common than others and some like yours are more compatible. You are a universal doner so anyone can take your blood. There's another that's a universal receiver. Can't remember biology from uni anymore sorry.

I am O negative too.

I dont think any particular one is better than others. I am glad, though, I am a common blood type and if I needed blood, there wouldn't be a shortage!

I think I'm B+ but I'm not actually sure. Suppose I should get that checked out at some point.

I don't think any one type is better than another, just which ones are more common that others and which are compatible with others in case of a ned for transfusion or something.

I'm o neg as well. You only need an antiD injection if your baby has a positive blood type.
My baby is A- so I didn't need an injection.

I am O- too, according to the Blood peoples poster 7% of people in NZ are that blood type.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

No idea what DP's is, and he doesnt know it either... how would you find out what your blood type is?
