makes you get impatient, then realise that its no big deal and you just kinda relax and enjoy the experience.

Today i took rhiannon for a walk, now this walk would take me all of about 15mins on my own, but we had a 20min stop at the park to play on the slide and it took about 30mins to cross the domain at the back of our house cos rhiannon had to stop and weed the entire domain of all flowers, and i have to admit for the first 5mins i was like ....oh come on rhiannon leave the flowers alone, time to go home...and then i just decided to let her go, and 30mins later we got to the end of our street, with one very happy child carry a bucket load of weeds, and a relaxed mummy who just enjoyed watching her daughter having fun.

I almost feel guilty for trying to rush her and it made me realise just how simply our children see the world

I'm always rushing Maya to do things, I think coz I'm impatient by nature, and then I think to myself "hang on, what does it matter if it takes her an extra 30 seconds to do up her seatbelt?"

DP and I are always saying "We need to be quick..."
It's true though, on the occasions that we have no place to rush to, Ella loves to take her time picking flowers, leaves etc.
