I take elevit but the box is nearly finished, so thought i would try a new brand of pregnancy multi.
What do you take?
Why?
i also take salmon oil so don't need one with fish oil added.

I'm taking Blackmores pregnancy and breastfeeding Gold. No specific reason, other than comparing the price to Elevit.

I'm not on a specialised pregnancy multi vitaman, I take "Coral C" and "CAA" both are supplied by the health house ( mail order company) I've been very happy with them and my mid wife has given them her approval.

I take blackmores pregnancy and breastfeeding gold too.
Not really any specific reason, figured it was better to take it than be deficient in something I didnt know about... And it was cheaper than elevit...

I was taking Elevit prior to conception and up until I was about 30 weeks pregnant. Mainly for the Folic acid levels and also because it is just 1 tablet a day, easy! Then I changed to the Cenovis Pregnancy and BF formula becasue it was cheaper than Elevit and cos I didnt need the same levels of Folic acid by then.
Once thats all finished I will just go back to a normal womans multi until we decide to TTC again and then I'll go back on Elevit

I'm taking Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding too. Started off with Thompsons but they were a bit hard to swallow when I had MS

I don't take any, I just got a script for folic acid and iron (as I was vegetarian until I became pregnant but even now eat very little red meat). Other than that I have a pretty healthy diet so don't feel the need for one.

Midwives have really different opinions don't they?
I took elevit until the second box finished, and then switched to Blackmores Preg/BF gold because its so much cheaper. Have been on iron too because my iron levels dropped really low at about 27 weeks.
Am a bit slacker at taking them regularly now- its only 2 weeks to go and I don't want to have to buy any more!

I take radiance multi for pregnancy - easier to swallow as they are a capsule and cheaper than elevit. Get them from a health shop
Elevit made me sick
I only take one a day instead of the two a day and my MW is happy with that.

I switched from Elevit to Blackmores as was recommended by my herbalist. She told me Elevit's a bit flakey. Don't quite know what she meant but she's the expert! I also take folic acid as there's not enough in Blackmores plus capsules of fish oil each day on top of what's already in Blackmores as I'm trying to control my eczema.

I took Solgar Prenatal Nutrient Tablets when I was pregnant & breastfeeding. They were great and much cheaper than elevit.
Got them from a health shop following advice from the shop assistant.. They recommended them over other ones in the shop.

Great thread - my elevit is getting really low too and have been thinking about geting something cheaper now I'm almost in the 3rd trimester. Might give the Blackmores a go.

I've just bought some Solgar Prenatal Nutrient Tablets as I've found I'm a bit run down so hopefully they'll do the trick. Got them from Health 2000.

I was taking the Go Healthy pregnancy multi, and their folic acid (which is in a capsule so really easy to take, much better than the cheap crappy ones I'd had before that fell apart).
Then I switched to Elevit (which I'd bought before getting pregnant), and really wish I hadn't. I won't be finishing the box and Dh is getting me more of the Go Healthy ones. I felt great, my hair and nails were fantastic, and they were easy to take. I haven't been taking my multis much (bad me!) while I get around to getting more because the Elevit annoys me so much.

I'm not on anything now. I also found at the beginning that it was the multi vits I was taking that was causing my MS because I already had all the stuff I needed from my healthy diet. SO my body couldn't process the extras I was putting in so I just ended up throwing them back up.
