you should try a music and movement morning. The only place I know in Hamilton that does one is parents place on boundry road but there will be more elsewhere. I know a few churches do them I just don't know which ones. I think that waterworld in te rapa does little kiddie swim classes during the day. Here is a list of a few places that might be cool.
Mini Rockers Music and Play
Parents Place
87 Boundary road
PH 8557517
Tiny Shakers and Moovers & Groovers
850 9542
Not sure where this one is run from
Chartwell Public Library run a playgroup on Wednesdays 10.30am
Ph 8386844
Tots n Dots
1101 Heaphy tce
Ph 855 5469
Or you could ring plunket 839 3982 they may know of some more

Yeah they have Mainly music @ the Nazarene chuch Down Pukete Road @ the round about. We use to go there but now I'm studying. They have 2 sessions on Wednesday at 9am and 11am. It's really cool there.

We go to the movers & groovers, its held in Forest Lake. There are a few gym classes as well, we attend one at Hamilton City Gymnastics in Te Rapa, though I know there are also classes at the YMCA, ummm swimming classes? At both Waterworld and Gallaghers they run sessions where you just pay admission and you can get tips and advice, I'll see if I can find the linky...
Also the Hamilton (and nearby) mummies have started meeting up fortnightly. Check out the thread in the 'Mum's meet up' forum.

probably a silly question but wat do you do at mainly music and moovers and groovers.........obviously music and dance but is that all? Im kinda shy......my babe is not....so trying to get enough courage to go for him :)
swimming - i was an instuctor so he already knows how to swim (well doggy style at least) and have decide to teach him until he is one.
Already have a coffee group in TA so kinda wanted something different
the music and dancing thing sounds just wat i was after....i was a dancer and really want mykids to do the same.............how much does this cost....(on a realllllly tight budget) can you tell me more infor about it like how many in the class etc..........really keen to know more :)
i tried to find info at the YMCA but couldnt find anything about baby clases cause i was going to go there.
which one is the best to go too......personal opionion?!

Totally understand about the shyness!!! I'm very shy here. We've only been to 1 Movers & Groovers class so far, our next one is tomorrow. Its about getting the kids to move around to music. Yep you dance along too! Also at the start here is an intro type song which you have to sing to Though the kids don't seem to notice and most of the mums don't either
At our gym group, there is some running around to music at the start (which gets a little tiring at 36 wks preggers!) then they split up into 4 groups and have a go at rolling, balance, swinging and jumping. An excellent way to tire kiddies (and mummies) out
Oh cost for Movers & Groovers was $38 for 8 weeks and gym class was $55 for 9 weeks.

Does anyone know of any sports groups for 3.5 year old boy? I think there is Athletics but I don't know where. Damian loves cricket and soccer but most don't start until 5. Would love to get him into sports.
