We slept Lauren in the bassinett in the lounge during the day so she got used to "daytime" noises and at night she slept in our room till 6 weeks then she was in her own room and in a cot!

Sarah, Finn naps in his cot during the day and his bassinet at night and is fine, both are in his own room, we just want him to get used to the cot.

He moved into his own room 40 minutes into our first night at home, he is so snorey and snuffly and generally loud at sleeping i could not get a wink and it works for us but then is actual room is only opposite ours anyway.

I think Ollie was about 4 months old. I must admit, I absolutely loved having him next to me and I don't think our sleep was any more disturbed than it is now.

I can say that he would have been quite happy to go into his own room well before that - it was me that struggled with the move. Once it was done though I got over that pretty quickly - it was nice to have room to walk around the bed again!!

Lucas is still in my room as there is no other room for him to sleep in, most nights he ends up sharing the bed with me too *sigh* he insists.... such a mummies boy

But we're moving soon, i think ill slowly ease him into his own room ...moreso because I don't think i could handle not having him next to me.

haha , he might love his own room from day one !

My friend , a single mum , always had her daughter in her bed , and it was all very well and dandy , until she met her boyfriend (now fiance) , then it created some difficulties ...
Think long term as well, thats all, its only since 2 months ago that her daughter is finally sleeping in her own room all night, shes 7.

within a week of coming home. I was trying to sleep him in his bassinet at night and cot during the day so he could get used to sleeping in different things and I noticed he slept way better in his cot so there it was!

With this one, we will have him/her with us as there is no room until he/she is able to maybe share with Tom...eek!!! It will depend on how "Gentle" Tom is.

Caden has just gone into his own room tonight, he would have had his own room sooner but my dad has just finished building his room and we got our new carpet today so Caden is in there tonight.

I think I will miss him more than he will miss me! LOL
