Hi there,

By my scan I am actually 24 weeks not 22 (the size of baby anyway) Im going to go by my first scan date though. What I was wondering though was isnt baby meant to be moving heaps now and kicking all the time?? I got a couple of big kicks the other night as I said in another post but nuthin like that since, just small movements occasionally. My partner gets quite upset cos he cant feel the proper kicks yet.

Yeah I wondered when my hubby would be able to start feeling them too, so I asked my midwife and was told probably in the next few weeks from where I am now..I also looked on the net and some sites seem to indicate you would usually start feeling bigger kicks around 28 weeks as well. Right now I'm feeling the occassional kick and movement around 2-3 times a day.
I guess it's probably different for everyone though.

I must have a really strong little boy in me. Daniel has been feeling them for about the last two weeks now but had to concentrate (sp?) really hard at first now when Ethan kicks he can feel it quite easily.

yeah, my hubby has been feeling some really good kicks for a few weeks now too, maybe my wee girl is also a strong one! lol, it all prob depends on how baby is in our tummies, facing front/back and even where your placenta is...... i was told i might not feel much movement on my right side cause thats where my placenta is, but so far it hasnt stopped me feeling them there?.

I have been feeling movement for around 3-4 weeks now and DH has been able to feel them for around 2-3. Some are quite strong and I can see my tummy moving. She had a very active day on Tuesday when I could feel her almost constantly bar a few half hour naptimes and even my midwife said she was very active as we were trying to hear the heartbeat but could only hear her kicking around!! but yesterday was much much quieter - she was obviously recovering and I felt her maybe 4/5 times throughout the day. I think from everything you read that every woman/pregnancy is different and like mum2emj said it also depends on the position of your placenta.

I agree with Rachel....it all depends on how your baby is facing...if his back is to your tummy then you wont feel the kicks ...or it will feel like small movements.

And I think another two weeks and you will feel good kicks...give it a month or so and you feel see your tummy move (that is the cool part!!!! ).

I remember Zaara use to get all excited when I stood in shower and let the water hit my tummy.....have you tried that?

in a few more weeks you'll be able to SEE bubs move! At first hubby and I were a little bit freaked out and expected an alien head to pop out LOL but I'm watching it right now and it's so awesome!
We still have a "feeling" that bubs is a boy (couldn't find out at the scan) and hubby always says "Look out Daniel Carter, my boy is after your job"

Our little girl always stops as soon as a hand is placed on the tummy...it's frustraing poor hubby who really wants to feel a kick!

We're lucky in the placenta is at the back so at least I can feel the kicks to the front fairly easily especially as they are slowly getting stronger.

It varies from day to day...some days I think she will be a kick boxer and other days I think she is taking after our 3 cats and sleeping 23 hours of the day away!

Not that I'm trying to rub it in or anything, as it DID take a while for hubby to finally be able to feel our baby kicking, but the look on his face was absolutely priceless when he felt his first "little" one, and even better with the first big one or "series" of movements

I know exactly what jax is saying. Daniel just had this look which i have never seen before. He got the same look last night, we were lying in bed and Ethan was kicking and i said lets just watch instead of trying to feel him and you could see my belly moving everytime he kicked me. It was soo amazing!!!
