do you offer solids after a breastfeed ??
straight away or wait ??
DS 6.5 months old and We are starting on three 'meals' a day - usually baby cereal in the am, fruit at around 2ish and dinner vegies at 6pm
hes been eating solids very happily for over a month but now seems to becomming a little more picky and slower to eat..
i wonder if its too soon for 3 meals ?? usually eats about 100ml puree at a time...

When Jack was a baby Plunket told me to give him an hour to bf then offer solids but I always found that by the time I offered solids he was getting a little tired. I would probably make sure that your DS has a full bf then offer solids almost straight away, maybe 15min later, maybe after a little play.
Ben has had 3 "meals" pretty much from the start (New Year when he turned 6mths) but we are doing BLW and he has only started actually eating in the last few weeks. Maybe you could offer finger foods for one of the meals instead of puree?

Ben loves apricots and nectarines when they are quite soft, I just cut them in half or quarters. Banana, cruskits, rice crackers, toast. Ben loves to eat mashed potato with his hands! Avocado slices, apple slices without the skin, watermelon, pasta, ummm.... can't think of anything else just yet. He doesn't really need teeth, he can suck on or gum the food.

Linzy has made some great suggestions so far, this is what we use too as well as puree. DD2 is 6.5mos also but her only really regular meal is dinner, we sometimes do lunch but she is fine without it, and maybe closer to 7mos I might offer some finger foods for breakfast if I can be bothered. I don't think you are meant to offer food before milk until about 8mos.

I BF first then give Jackson food about an hour later in most cases. Sometimes it can be a bit longer, particularly in the avo and he's only had a late avo cat nap.
Jackson is on 3 'meals' a day now which we just started and he likes it and his sleep is much better too.

I always wait at least an hour too. Morgan eats all sorts as finger foods - all the fruits and crackers/bread etc that Linzy mentioned, plus chicken, steak, fish, chicken nuggets (only cos her brother has them!), cooked veges, diluted pear juice made into an iceblock, tinned fruit, a gingernut ... shes had all of them since before having teeth (only got 2 teeth a few weeks ago) apart from the gingernut which I've just done this week (again cos her brother had one).
