When did you get your kiddy one and did they really play with it or did it just kind of sat there?

Was thinking of getting one and now I see one is on sale and dont know if it is a good buy or not. Dont want something bulky if she wont really be interrested in it as such.

I'm going to get one, plus the sets of pans etc and sets of food processors etc. We have a neat big playhouse in yard (that curently stores toys) and the summer project is to do it up, and a kitchen will be part of that! Jake plays with one at his caregivers and his mate has aplayhouse with a kitchen and Jake is obsessed with the oven! I think it would be a great buy!

Hannah LOVES these! We don't own one (price factor) but I would love to if I could. It's one of the biggest highlights for her at visiting the puzzle library on Tuesdays

My neice got one for christmas last year or the year before (cant rememeber which) and shes 4 now. It kind of sits there but theres times where she will play with it. She will "make me food" lol.
But my sister in law has kind of dumped a whole lot of her toys on it so that could be part of the reason she doesnt play with it as much.

They were sold out. But got her another baby doll (she will have 5 now in total) and a whole nursery set as well. (and I am not allowed to let her play with it now, wonder if that includes me? )

I love the Little Tikes Kitchens and would love to have one....but boys are just not into it as much. I think its more me that wants one instead of the boys.

we got a neat one from kmart when paris was 2, it has noises and was nice and cheap for $40.. a blue one with stainless steel look plastic.. anway, she has been given so many different teasets, and you can get sets of food etc for cheap too, mum got her a cash register last year and her and ayja get out their kitchen and teaset and play for ages, it is a revolving toy in our lounge. it gets finally put away only to be gotten out again in a couple of days.    I managed to go to KMART and got a neat little set of fabric placemats and napkins for $6, and that has gone down well with big girls. Ayja has been playing alongside her sister for ages.. since before she was 1. sitting teddies down to have food, picnics, and now she gets out the placemats, puts a plate on each and will make meals.. she pretends to make burgers that are huge!!

I think for most kids, it's a very worthwhile buy.

shirena what about hiring one for a month??? see if she likes it etc??? then if she does keep eye out for the next warehouse or kmart sale???

I know the one the kids had in the states was only used when i sat with them and interacted - if they played by themselves in the toyroom it never got used.
