Oh def me! Every now and then DH puts down his foot about something - and if it's not worth an argument I'll give in .
Overheard the other day
dd: "if I want something I ask Daddy cos I know he'll give it to me."

me, me ,me.... even our boss knows i am the boss of the house.. i do run things past df though, but he knows its not worth arguing with me unless its something major. he lets tash get away with murder too and doesnt stick to the punishments we give out, if she asks him for something he always tells her to ask mum lol.

Oh, well, I am gonna buck the trend and say we are equally the boss because neither of us make decisions without the other, but in all i spose i tend to be a bit of the driving force for the decisions. No, really, Paris is the bossiest - doesn't make her the boss though.
I like the comment about the pants. I used to say that "mike wears the pants in our house, but they're my pants"
when we first got together he needed new jeans and i was gonna chuck a whole heap of ones i'd grown out of (which mum bought from boys dept anyway cos they fit me better ).. so he tried em and they fit perfectly, lol so he wears my pants figuratively and literally..
so yes, equal. I asked paris and she goes "you're both the boss"

Same Janine. I think we are equally the boss, but I am the one who does all the organising of everything and runs the household (bills, groceries etc) so I guess maybe I am a bit more the boss!

Same Janine and Aimee... we make major decisions as a team, Nat handles the finances and pays the bills and I run the household, do the groceries etc.
I defer to Nat as the head/leader of our household when a final decision needs to be made, but we usually reach that point through discussion.

Dad wears the pants, but mum buys them, chooses the colour, style, fabric and tells dad when to wear them!!

I rule the roost but DH rules the remote (and as long as he can find it, is happy about it too!)

I'm curious about something - and feel free to tell me to buzz off if this is an inappropriate question, but are those of you in Christian marriages of the belief that the woman should be submissive to their husband in marriage?
I ask this as I know of a few couples who are, and who are, and I wondered if this was the way most Christian couples believed or just the ones I know.

I'm going to answer your question, Clare, but I'm going to start a new thread so I don't send this one too far off course

I think we are pretty equal here, all the big decisions are discussed and decided together...most of the little ones are as well. When Spencer was born I quite happily let DH take control of everything, was easier not to have to worry about anything except looking after Spencer but now things are back as they were before.

One day DH took off to work in a hurry. He had to change after work to go to a more casual event and so her grabbed a pair of jeans on his way out the door. Upon changing into the jeans he realised that they were actually mine
And thats kinda how it is in our house....
