Toni, with that page you should get a pop up box that asks you if you want to subscribe to the feed. Once it has been accepted it should go away and you will get a list of the feed updates in your reader. |
and if I don't get a pop up? This is all I can see

Yes and no -- we do feature new content in the monthly newsletters, but there is so much new content going up all the time that we can't possibly mention it all in the monthly newsletter, so we usually highlight a few new things there.
RSS means "rich site summary", which probably means nothing to most people! It is a technology that allows you to keep informed, in a simple way, of what's new on the OHbaby! site.
It doesn't work for the forums, since there are so many new posts happening here all the time, but it works for the regular site (www.ohbaby.co.nz).
If you're using IE7, look on your toolbar for an orange square button (it is at the top right, between the Home button and the Print button on my toolbar). If you click on that orange button, it will take you to a page called "OHbaby! Latest Articles", which has a page of the most recent additions to the site.
Look out because heaps of new content will be uploaded to the site this weekend in time for our November newsletter!

Wohoo! nice one!
I religiously check my RSS stuff every morning. A lot of blogs and photo sites have them too. So it's a good way to quickly scan for any updates.
Also worthy of a mention is the AirNZ Grab a Seat RSS feed

Any chance the titles in the RSS feed could be extended to categorise the article?
Mainly I want to read some articles but not book reviews which is what I think about 80% of them are.
So would be nice at a glance to see what type of article it is.

This is Chovynz signed in as busymum (I'm so lazy)
For those of you using FireFox this is how you can subscribe to the RSS feed. (I'm so cool!)
Copy and paste the link www.ohbaby.co.nz/rss into a new tab. The page should ask you if you want to "add a live bookmark". If it doesn't and you get a whole lot of gobbledygook, refresh the page then it will ask. Add the live link to where you want to.
If THAT doesn't work you can always do the following once you see the gobbledygook.
Bookmark the page. Click on Bookmarks at the top then "Bookmark this page" (or just Ctrl D).
Hopefully you should now see a list of the RSS feeds.
I'm such a geek.
