So I *finally* had my 12 week ultrasound this morning (although I'm already 13weeks), and it was torture !! Well, not the ultrasound itself, but all the water I had to drink beforehand - five HUGE glasses full. What made it worse was having to wait five minutes past our actual appointment time - which felt like forever.
Anyhow... I was just SO blown away... from last time when all we could see was a little speck with a heartbeat, to fingers and toes and even a face !! I *almost* cried, it was just the most incredible thing ever !! See for yourselves...

aww very cute. I cant believe you went in for an ultra sound so early. Your apt must have been at least 6-30 - 7am.

LOL Angelnz - don't let the timestamp on my post fool you, I do live in NZ but I'm in Canada at the moment, so my scan was *actually* at 10:30am Friday January 30th ;) The time difference muddles things up a bit.

Oh, i was looking for a time mark on the scan itself. When I was in Japan, it looked like i was writing posts at 4am and stuff!

LOL Yup I've had to do that both times so far as I was too full !! Even letting out just a little made it heaps more bearable. I reckon I must be doing OK with my kegel muscles, as I don't find it hard to stop midstream Every time I look at those photos I am absolutely floored... and as dumb as it sounds, my first thoughts nearly always resemble "Holy crap, there is REALLY a BABY in there !!!" |

Well luckily the bathroom was no more than a four or five feet from the examination table !! Hehehe, otherwise I almost woulda wet myself KIDDING
I had to throw away a pair of pants today, not only are they really uncomfortable, but I loved wearing them so much they were getting huge holes in the legs - and discovered one today in the bum !! It zippers at the back so, bye bye pants |
