My baby had reflux and awful wind. He would cry and scream every time he was fed and burped. It was horrible, I used to get upset all the time because I knew he was in pain. My MW told me to get infacol, it didnt help.
I saw my GP and got told to keep doing what I was doing (ummm ok?) and that he would grow out of it...
I did my own research and came across Colic Calm. After days of reading reviews about it I decided to give it a go. Im so glad I did!!! After 3 days giving him the drops he was much happier and so was I!!!

My son had really bad colic. We also noticed that we never got those yellow mustard poops, but yucky smelly green ones (which we were told by both midwife, plunket, doctor, and pediatrician that 'some babies just get). However, once we completely cut every from of dairy from my diet (I was breastfeeding) he was a LOT happier, and we actually got normal baby poo - got very good at reading the ingredients on all foods, as milk products are often used where you don't expect it.

We also ended up having to use Omeprazole to completely help with the reflux - went from taking 1 hr to feed and another hr to hold screaming baby until he finally fell asleep for a short time, to 1 hr round feed and back into bed at night! We were able to stop this at 8 mths.

Also, a seperate tip I got that was really great, due to his issues he could not stand to be on his tummy (so tummy time was tummy torture). However, putting a 'v' shaped pillow under his chest to take the pressure off his stomach meant he started having fun, and getting good exercise lifting his head :)

Our son was also a silent reflux baby (so never actually vomited). We were told by specialist that if your baby tends to be comfortably when held vertically, but can't handle being held horizontally, then it's a good indication reflux is an issue.

My little girl had terrible colic where she would scream almost non-stop ALL day and never sleep. I knew babies cried but something was definitely not normal about this amount and intensity!
My GP also told me to hang in there and it'll go away around 3-4 months. I saw her at 3 weeks and was pulling my hair out already. After trying EVERYTHING (changing diet, no dairy, lots of tummy time, rocking, push chair, Infacol, etc) the best thing for us was Medela Colic Powder (all natural and very effective). Oh my gosh we had a new, HAPPY baby instantly as in the next day! Couldn't believe it, I could actually enjoy my baby and not feel miserable and sleep-deprived constantly. My midwife also suggested side lying, so I bought her a sleep wedge and she had her first nap on her own, a proper nap. The side lying helps relieve the pressure on their tummys.
So glad I found the thing that works, don't just 'put up with it' keep going until you find the solution and start enjoying your baby!!

My little girl had really bad colic from bang on five weeks of age, we tried everything. Weleda Colic Powder definitely seemed to help along with alot of love and many days just spent on the couch with her cuddled up on me. I used to sit in our recliner with her lying up me resting her head on my shoulder. I wondered if we would ever have a happy baby but she eventually grew out of it and we now have the happiest little girl who just lights up the whole room. You've just got to be positive and stick in there, things will get better

My daughter had real struggles with feeding. My milk came really fast so she had trouble keeping up and would gulp and take in lots of air. She always seemed really uncomfortable after a feed, she'd be constantly kicking her legs, had real trouble bringing up wind and would take ages to settle. She would also vomit frequently. A friend recommended a product called Rhuger Mixture, it's all natural and has been developed by a pharmacist in Dunedin. Within a couple of days I had a completely different baby, she was calm and relaxed after feeding and would bring up the most enormous burps almost instantly after sitting her up. It changed our lives!

-gentle massage waterfall hands alternating down the midline of the tummy and then circular motions clockwise around the tummy 2x a day when baby is settled (first wake and early afternoon worked well for me)
-afternoon bath with me (added a few drops of camomile to a cup of milk and put that in the bath)
-weleda colic powder (free from synthetic preservatives) in a teaspoon of breastmilk
-gentle foot pressure when baby is crying to ground and get them back into themselves
-carrying baby in a sling and continuing about daily activities so they can watch and be a part of life
-singing to them!
-baby acupuncture and cranial osteo treatments
-practicing deep breathing myself and recognising this shall pass and all baby needs is to be held and loved through their expression

I used a product called Lacteeze (kids) which you can get as drops or as tablets you crunch up and put in their milk or mouth before breastfeeding. My theory is that when they are about 2-3 months the enzyme in their gut passed on from you disappears and their intestine hasn't started to make its own yet in some cases, so their stomach can't break down the milk properly and it gives them terrible, painful gas. My daughter had terrible 'colic' until I started using this. If I ever had to feed her without using it, she would get it immediately until she eventually grew out of it.

My son had terrible colic and silent reflux, from about 2 weeks our nightmare started. He screamed ALL day every day until around 10 months when he started walking, he slowly got better from there on. He would barely sleep, we were lucky if we got 20 mins out of him. We spent countless amounts of money on natural remedies, special diets (I was breastfeeding), doctors, specialist pediatricians, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncture, different slings to carry him etc. Every time we heard something different we would try it in the hope that we would have our "miracle reprieve" only to find things didn't help, or if they did would only help very marginally. He ended up on omeprazole until around 6 months, which helped very slightly. We were constantly told he is a "high needs" baby and that it will eventually pass. At 6 months he was diagnosed with lip and tongue tie which would have made things so much harder for him. He is now 20 months and much, much better, although still a very spirited boy. We survived....my biggest advice is to get help, if people offer help take it, talk to plunket, your midwife or a counsellor, talk to anyone really about what you are going through. I wasn't so lucky to have family around, they all lived too far away to help when I needed it, all our friends worked full time, and my husband worked full time. I pretty much did it all myself and it was so hard, I cried every day and I felt so alone. There are free services out there who help with housework, looking after bubs and helping with meals, this saved my sanity so many times. Also keep calm in front of bubs, getting worked up and crying only makes them worse because they sense it, people would say they didn't understand how I stayed so calm, but I had to.

Things you can try:
-keep bubs upright at all times, also add phone books under top of cot/bassinett (keeps baby slightly elevated)
-burp for at least 10mins after feeds
-cycle their legs to help bring up wind, or firmly rub tummy in clockwise direction
-carry around in sling
-Colic Calm, Colic Powder, KiwiHerb remedies, Infacol, Omeprazole (only with doctors permission)
-check for lip and tongue ties
-walk or run a lot, often the movement will help to calm them
-baths, sometimes I bathed my son up to 4 times a day
-massages (although my son didnt like these, even though I took a baby massage class!)
-lots of tummy time, or back time, reflux/colic babies tend to prefer one or the other (my son preferred tummy time, even to this day he still hates being on his back and will scream, although I think now its more to do with remembering the pain).

Our little girl struggled with feeding and on day three, doctors noticed a tongue tie - rectified on day seven. Developed colic from three weeks. She would scream from about 4pm to midnight (almost on the dot) every day. I was so tired dealing with her and our two year old, but felt so sorry for her as I knew she was in pain. I tried various natural remedies to no avail. Everything was shortlived or worked the first couple of times then seems to have the same effect as water. Stomach massage only calmed her for the time that I was massaging, as soon as I stopped she started screaming again. Same with leg cycling. She hated tummy time. Burping her about two minutes after she started feeding did seem to release some pressure and delay the screaming process. A friend lent me a swing machine which was a godsend. Didn't last a long time but bought me about half an hour to have dinner. Her colic evolved into silent reflux throughout the day and we ended up putting her in Ranitidine. Took about a week to fine tune the dose but once she was sorted, at about six weeks of age we saw our happy little baby for the first time and it was like we had a new child. She is now a happy heathly one year old, our cheeky little monster into everything who we couldn't love more.

It is true that every baby is different and what some babies like, other hate immensely. Mine was just trial and error until something helped her (very hair pulling at times). There is light at the end of the tunnel, it's just a long tunnel to get through sometimes but you will get there.

If it is colic that keeps them crying, a herbal waistband would be best. Herbal waistbands are a great option to treat when you are seeking methods of how to help newborn with gas. They work wonders and you can easily find them online.
