Congrats Nic. Welcome to the world Samuel!! What good weight!

Is anyone else sick of texts from "well meaning" friends?? Hello, do people seriously think you wouldn't tell them if the baby arrived!!! So frustrating!! I'm seriously thinking of turning of my mobile until the baby arrives. It doesn't help at all!

Sorry, my moaning over. Hope everyone else is having a good friday! Kiwibubs I hope you have a good walk today. Dagster, good luck with your cheese scones!

Congratulations Nic and family on the arrival of Samuel!

Lets hope for all those waiting this gets the ball rolling again! Come on December babies!!!!

DebsB - I say turn the phone off if its getting to you, considering I had Heidi a week and a half early I was getting texts before 37 weeks and it drove me crazy so I hate to think what its like for you.

Dagster - I know your pain regarding the rash its hideous, I hope it goes away soon, maybe the heat is making it worse?? Oh and I had terrible trouble with baking while pregnant, i cooked a banana cake, date loaf and scones on grill setting!!!!!!!!

I am just chilling at the mo while Heidi has a sleep. She had her first go at tummy time today and lifted her head and turned it too the other side very gracefully with lots of control, I was such a proud Mummy.

I have managed to keep visitors to a minimum up until now, looks like this afternoon there is going to be a whole lot of them and I dont know if I am looking forward to it............actually I am not looking forward to it at all!! Mostly its the inlaws and they have had to stay away as they have had a tummy bug up until now, my SIL just opens her mouth and says all the wrong things all the time (she even tried to tell the MW at the hospital how to do her job!!!!!) plus my nieces just wreck things at my house every time they come, it stresses me out!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH! I need some rescue remedy

I still have a couple of Christmas pressies to get and I dont know when I am going to get it done hopefully when DH has a spare second we can go together.

Well I really hope this is going to be the weekend where we have a mad rush of Dec babies born all at the same time.

Oh I have been typing up my birth story (novel) I want to be able to give it Heidi when she is older, but it maybe too long to post on here.

Take care everyone, labour vibes, sleep vibes and hugs to all

Thanks Aimee, I think the itching is getting worse, its everywhere just random, maybe its also stress related although I dont feel stressed it could be a mind thing.

Might go to the doctor on Monday this is just crazy.

Go Heidi having tummy time and turning her head.

I think bubs will be born on a Thursday, I have had 90% of all my midwife appointments on a Thursday, so it must be a sign.

Hi all!

Looks like Nic has started the ball rolling again!  Can't sleep so have decided to finally show my face here!

Looks like action here.. finished work Wed, saw midwife Thurs, baby was engaged and said ''any day now'', went for growth scan Fri (been having fortnightly scans to check on growth as baby on small size) only to find out that baby hasn't grown since the last scan, scan guy said "time for baby to be in your arms now" and sent me to midwife.

Saw midwife at Botany Downs, and got me on the monitor, baby is strong and healthy and am having regular B.H.s.  Got upset as she wanted me to go to middlemore for an assessment and make a plan, early induction was an possiblity!  Was defin NOT ready to have the baby since I only finished work Wed!!!!

Anyway, turns out Middlemore didn't want to see me as baby was in good shape so midwife organised for me to see another specialist at her clinic Fri night...  by this time was over the shock of the possibility of having baby early.

Saw specialist.... first reaction on looking at the growth chart was "oh that's not bad." Did a personalised growth chart for me and turns out baby is much smaller than what it should be... wants baby out within the week.. booked me in for induction.... for 24th!! We tried for 26 or 27th but no good....  Specialist was great, she wanted me to try and get in labour naturally before induction date... less risk to baby cos it's small (2.7kg) so we agreed to an internal examination to see if I was ready for a sweep... and yep I was! Did the sweep, was 1-2 cm dilated, cervix soft and even the specialist had a chuckle as she could feel the baby's head and baby was moving her head around!

Went home and a few hours later, we have the show.  Still having regular B.H, so fingers crossed something is happening and we dont need the induction(more risk of C.S)!  Am trying to take all this in stride as I still have a mountain of a list of things to do!  Oh well, time to just go with the flow!

Please girls, send me all these labour vibes, I need them!

Congrats Noodle and DH! and welcome to the world Rory

Labour vibes DB! Hope it all gets going nice and quick for you now. I was induced 2 weeks early (baby was not ready to come at all) and it was not bad, so if you have to be induced do not worry.

Bit of a yucky day here today, not that I am doing much, more visitors I think. We have got so many beautiful gifts and a sub to Treasures mag and to OhBaby mag YAY!!! I am managing to get good sleep at night which is great, I go to bed at about 10 - 11 feed Heidi at 1am and 5am and then sleep through till about 7-8 and I feel good so that is a bonus and I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. Having a bit of trouble getting her on the breast at beginning of each feed she fusses and cries heaps and spits it out about 5 -6 times before she gets it??????????dont know what the problem is but once she is on shes fine??????

Well I hope everyone has a great Saturday, good to see the babies have started arriving again, hope for all you ladies waiting that theres more before the weekend is out. and to all the new mummies hope all the babies are doing well and everyone is getting some sleep!

Aimee - Glad to hear you getting lots of sleep and Heidi is being good girl with sleeping at the moment.

Hi girls,
Not much to report with me- got a runny bum and feeling a bit off colour but nothing else happening. Still getting those painful contractions but they have been happening for about a week now so I dont get excited anymore.

Wonder what they will do at my next OB appointment- dont think they do stretch and sweep so will ask them what else we can do.

Dagster- hope your itching calms down!

Yay Noodle- well done on the new arrival! How exciting!

Good luck DB!

Congrats Noodle and DH

7boys, 7 girls now. Wonder what will be next?

Deafbutterfly, hopefully you go into labour on your own steam, still 4 days up your sleeve. Good Luck!

Well I've tried it all, Power Walk, Hill walk, sex, star jumps, hot bath, jumping on the tramp, cross trainer, kerb walk, nothing bloody does anything! I was even helping DH build our fence until the weather packed up!
My tummy is sooo tight, as there's not much fluid around baby, and my abs are really strong, so my tummy constantly feels like a rock!!

Dagster hope the itching has got better, I had a thought, Palmers do a itchy skin oil for pregnancy, might be worth a try. Or almond oil might help too.

Here's hoping for more weekend babies!!

Good morning

Congratulations Noodle and welcome Rory!! The boys have definately caught up now!!

(((((()))))) to you DB, Kazgirl, Leash and everyone else who needs them.

Kiwibubs, runny bum and feeling off colour sounds promising. I hope things move for you soon.

Dagster, I hope your itching settles down soon. It must be so frustrating.

My show started about 3.30am this morning, so hopefully that means somethings happening. Can anyone tell me how long it could be before labour starts after a show, or is there no connection? I must admit I tried 2T of castor oil with milk and icecream yesterday afternoon, but it didn't do anything eg no upset tummy. I think I won't try it again.
It's a yucky day here in chch too, grey and raining. Not too cold though, so that's good.

DebsB - My MW said that if you have a show it can still take a while for anything to happen, or it could happen the next day. Its a good sign means something is happening.

I think I will be the last one to have a baby here .

Man did some cleaning in the wardrobe and now I have a massive runny nose lol.

Aimee - that sounds normal to me as Jiah does the same...she fusses at first and takes the nipple in a few times but doesnt latches on properly and then finally she latches on....she will get better tho.

Well I have my hands full at the mo as Jiah has wind and is not happy at all.... ..better go!!
