Gah CD2 for me here. Starting to get a bit frustrated, and I'm thinking of taking the month off as I'm not overly keen on a christmas baby as a friend has one and the poor kid seems to miss out a bit with party's etc. Good luck everyone!

Sorry Kumeroa and Sageandthyme. Sageandthyme, my DD is a December baby and she doesn't miss out. I am sure if you didn't want your child missing out it wouldn't Its important to us that she doesn't get joint gifts and each occasion is separate.
Welcome Jeesaroo and SamanthaPeek. Look forward to more ttcers Jeesaroo if you want to know if you are ovulating charting would be a great way to do that. You can get positive OPKs and still not ovulate, however charting will pick up ovualtion. You both check out the charting thread and ask questions and get a feel about how to do it
Well 12dpo for me today. Haven't had my usual pre af headaches yet, but still time for that and my temps are lowering so not feeling too confident.

Thanks Kazper, that's a very good point, it helps :) DH said we shouldn't worry about and just see what happens, which is what I needed to hear I think. Fingers crossed for you, there's still a chance! x

Your DH is right, just see how you go. At the end of the day I bet you would be so happy to have a baby rather than worry about timing. I am the same. I would rather not have two babies in December, but if next month is my month that its my month I guess. I will be happy to just have a baby

Yes of course, I would be super happy to be having a baby :) I think I was letting it mess with my head a bit and not seeing the big picture. Thanks for helping me see it clearly :) x

Sageandthyme - my sister's daughter was born on the 28th Dec. We always have her birthday party the first weekend on Dec so that her friends are around and not on holiday :) My hubby was born 20th Dec, but he's always been happy too (even though his family did combine with Christmas a lot - now he combines with mine in Nov :)

Its also great for school age children birthdays in the holidays are cool. No one wants to go to school on their birthday lol. I found it was great having DD start school at the beginning of this year to. She gets a whole year to learn everything rather than half a year or a few months before moving up

So I just need to have a vent ladies. This last fortnight for me has been rough. First I had to go see sick family for a few days and so was away from DH. Managed a BD on CD13 (PM) then I was away again from him until CD17 (where we had another BD in the AM). Got a +OPK on CD16 so fingers crossed the CD17 BD has worked. Then I said we really need to do it again either CD18 (PM) or CD19(AM). Neither of which happened due to DH being tired/not feeling it. Seriously?? Why the fk does he think I am timing this sht??? So disappointed. Then while feeling miserable all day yesterday, I see a FB pg announcement (unexpected) didnt even know they had been trying. This Sat I have to see a 6 month pg friend and at the second event I was away at - one of the family had her baby 5 weeks early and there were two pg ppl too! AHHHH am I just noticing all this sht more now? So currently in the 2ww, but really not feeling very hopeful at all. Like really DH - yes I don't always like timed BD but YOU HAVE TO BE IN TO WIN yeah? Like every time i try to plan it, and it doesnt happen, it leaves me thinking "oh what if that time something had happened?" Every time we dont do it, feels like a missed opportunity. I had a huge cry in the shower on Sun morn but still felt all miserable and sh*tty all day. DH knows I was quiet and said I know your angry at me. He just doesnt "get it" aye. Not angry, but sad and disappointed. No hope for this cycle at all. Too bad buddy, if this cycle doesn't work we are off to get your swimmers tested. HA! Anyone else had any similar situation?

Wellybaby I know how you feel, It is hard to get my partner in the mood at times. I always think that is another month wasted when we don't do it.
Well as for me I'm getting Af cramps so pretty sure I'm out and also my negative test this morning.

Ha positive note, I would be highly highly surprised if anything happened this month or even any other month naturally, apparently we have barely enough good quality sperm that make it worth doing IUI let alone it happening naturally,
Wellybaby that's pretty normal, it's hard, really hard, people don't understand what sort of toll this all takes on your relationship, I've had awkward sex, sex that wasn't enjoyable etc, been pissed off because I've felt like I've wasted another month, been angry at DP for not wanting it even though I wasn't really in the mood either, then at the same time he has questioned whether I actually wanted it at the other times of the month, The best thing you can do is talk about it all, I can so easily see how TTC can ruin peoples relationships, make sure you two go and do fun things together even last night we just spent a couple of hours together at the back of the yard sorting it out and burning some dead wood and putting compost around our fruit trees,

Hugs Wellybaby. I totally get that. We have definitely had rough months and times of thinking we wasted a month. I think KP06 nailed it. It is normal. TTC is very stressful after you have been trying for a while. I cringe when people just start TTC and they think its easy and they enjoy it so much blah blah blah. Yeh well give it some time, because its near impossible to still be that enthusiastic when you have been trying for so long. I told DH last night we are out this month now I am spotting and cramping. He is gutted. I feel terrible he has to try put it to the back of his head and do the deed anyway. I think the pressure is getting all a little too much, but there isn't much we can do about that.
