I really want to test, but I know it's too early! What is the earliest you recommend?

Dear Mums,

My name is Michele and I am conducting a study about nutrition during pregnancy. This study is part of my masters in human nutrition at Massey University.
I am investigating the consumption of key nutrients in New Zealand pregnant women. Therefore I need at least 450 pregnant women in the last trimester to answer my online questionnaire. It is an anonymous questionnaire that will take about 15 -20 minutes to answer.
Your participation would be higly appreciated and in exchange to your participation you will receive the latest nutrition guidelines and go on a draw for one of two free subscriptions for OHbaby! magazine for a year.

Please feel free to share the link for the questionnaire with as many pregnant ladies as you know. The questionnaire will be available untill the end of december 2014.

Here is the link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/pufa

Thanks for you time and all the best for you and your baby!

Michele

Hi all,

I ovulated approximatly the 7th of September and period isn't due till the 22nd. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests and keep getting very faint positives (somethimes after the ten mins are up). Went to the doc and got a blood test on monday 15th and it came back as 4... anything under 5 being nagative. Soooo why am I getting faint positives on my tests? Could it be because test at doc was so early. I doubt they're evaporation lines as the test is still wet (sorry for TMI)
Has anyone else been in this situation and had a good outcome???

If I've missed anyone in the list I'll double check through everything once I get back home. Away for work and a night in a hotel with the DH (well not technically DH yet but might as well be).

Michele you might have better luck in another thread, this one is for people who are TTC and haven't conceived yet.

HannahPitcon based on a 14 day luteal phase that would mean on the 15th you would be 8DPO I think implantation is supposed to occur between 7-10DPO and I think it takes 2 days minimum for you to be able to show up in a test after that. Which from your dates going by the book the earliest you could get a positive is the 16th to the 19th so if you had a test on the 15th there is a very high chance it could have been negative even if you test positive later.
I've probably got a few numbers wrong but it gives you a good idea anyway.

Hi Sage!

I'm in the same boat, sort of lol. I'm pretty sure AF is on her evil way, yet I'm still testing and of course getting BFN's. So ridiculous
