Hello ladies. Hope everyone had a good easter. I have just returned from a trip to the inlaws. Can't wait for my first specialist appointment tomorrow. Hope everyone is well. Nellenium, sorry to see you in here. Hope your body heals soon and that you can get some answers.

So, came away with a plan. Have done some basic bloods to rule out any cause of m/c that they can test for. While waiting for the tests we are going to use metformin and progesterone to try and hold a pregnancy. he wanted us to use clomid too but I am petrified of mulitples so will have one more go without it. If that fails then we'll add clomid and anything else he recommends. Role on CD1!

Thanks a.girl for your PM, really appreciated especially as you were on holiday!! <3 I hate that Soda! The amount of doctors that just don't believe you when you're like, I KNOW when I ovulated and it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to be 2 weeks behind. You're basically saying that my 9-11DPO BFP was incorrect and that I had immaculate conception. URGH! I'm glad you've got a plan Poppy It's so nice to feel on track and that you're doing something. I would love multiples next as DH wants to stop at 2 and I reeeally want another boy and a girl! haha, dreams are free!! I had my D&C yesterday. Baby and placenta have been sent for karotyping (chromosome testing). In 6 weeks we have a follow up appointment at which point DH and I will both have blood tests for karotyping and some other stuff I can't remember. It seems like such a long wait, and then another wait after that for the results. I feel like I've been waiting for these tests for over 3 years, call me crazy but I suspected something was wrong waaay back when DH and I were NTNP (prior to 2013). I guess another 2-3 months really isn't that long in the scheme of things. Except this year I have two due dates to come and go in June and October and this time there will be no pregnancy to help ease the pain.

Hi I'm new here and thought I would join in. We had a miscarriage in Feb at 12 weeks, we went for our routine scan and found there was no heartbeat and that it was identical twins. They were to be #4 & 5 for hubby and I and we were devastated. We are lucky to have 3 happy healthy kids but it still hurt a lot. So hoping we may get our rainbow baby this month currently at 4dpo and hating the 2 week wait! Hope to get to know some of you as don't have many people around me who understand, none of families do that's for sure!

We were hoping for number 4 too :( it's hard. I was doing better...i started painting the house to distract me...then I got a txt to confirm my scan tomorrow...had to call up and cancel. Didn't realise that that was the reason I was having such a crap day until I told my husband tonight and wanted to cry

Welcome tryingfor#4 but sorry to see you hear. I hope we won't see you here for too long if you're already in the 2ww. Good luck.
CoopersMummy I know how you feel. It sucks having to cancel scans, midwife appointments etc. I had the ohbaby magazine arrive just after mine which set me off again. It just reminds you of what should have been.

ahh yep that happened to me too coopersmummy. i MCd at 11 weeks so just as i was losing the baby i got a txt reminder about my 12 week scan. i lost the plot. then a week later i get the ohbaby email "congrats you are 12 weeks" um, no, i wasnt. and at that stage we had told not everyone (just had a funny feeling to not share with the world, despite with DD i was so confident everything was ok i told everyone by 6 weeks!) but i just had a feeling the whole time something wasnt right.. funny how that happens huh. but by then id told myself to stop being silly and quite a few friends knew and every now and then someone id forgotten id told would call or txt and ask how the pregnancy was going. a reminder all over again. its horrible! hugs xxx my progesterone bloods at 4dpo were at 33 already! so am incredibly stoked we really have a chance! last time they were borderline even the day before AF.. still starting progesterone today (6dpo) to make sure it stays high. instead of pessaries though, i have little wee pills to insert.. apparently still messy (ew) but hopefully not as much as pessaries.. but still- ew. ahh the things we have to do! lol OT but good news- we bought a section yesterday! sick of putting life on hold "just incase" so now we should be in our new house before DD starts school beginning of next year gonna be POOR lol but hey, time to step out and do something for US that weve wanted in a while. may also mean bunking with the inlaws if stuff happens fast and we sell up this place quick...which may be a challenge..a BIG challenge (theres still 5 people living in their house, then will be us 3..8 people in a house..and im NOT the "flatting" type..far out ) BUT its worth sucking up and just doing because financially itd help so so much. so heres hoping things all work out! but whats the bet i get preggers now and this year turns into a whole other kind of adventure lol

Thanks for the welcome. It's hard when things like that hit you again CoopersMummy! One of my best friends is due about a week after I should have been and I only found out after I had been blubbing to her for ages about our loss. Now every time I see her it's a reminder that I should be at that stage. We should have been 20 weeks today and finding out what sex our twins were :(

Exciting stuff Soda, on all counts. We built a house before my DD was born, moved in just one week before my c-section! Makes for an interesting third trimester. Can't wait for some 'positive' news soon. Everything crossed for you.
tryingfor#4, my friend is due the same time my latest pregnancy was. We had been going through infertility issues together, found out we were pregnant together. Now she has reached 10wks and, while I'm so happy for her, it's a giant slap in the face for me everytime I see her. I'm really hoping to get pregnant and stay pregnant next cycle so I can stop envying her and just enjoy it.
Started metformin yesterday. Going to give it a week before upping the dose again. I'm 4wks into my cycle this weekend so hoping for af anytime from now.
How are you feeling Nellenium?

The same thing happened to us #4 got to 12 and lthough my baby was alive it wasnt for much longer after that. Ppeople don't understand unless its happened to them themselves. Im sick of people saying its ok your young you'll get pregnant again, like the m/c doesnt matter. When really it matters alot.

Thanks, my most hated comment was "at least you have 3 healthy kids" really doesn't help even if it is true!

Yep doesn't help one bit...yes I'm totally blessed with my three that I have but it doesn't mean I'm not devastated by the baby I lost, they don't cancel each other out in any way shape or form

Hello Beautiful ladies, This is the last forum I wanted to post on (like all of you of course). I was due Nov 14 and yesterday went for a dating scan, not because I wasn't sure of the dates.... After over a year of trying for our first I knew the the dates. I just wanted to hear the heartbeat and get reassurance all was well. It was not all well though, there was no heartbeat and my wee one only reached 8 weeks so died about a week ago. I am now waiting for an appointment with the early preg unit and so hope it is soon, Monday would be best. I have had no bleeding and just want to have it over so we can grieve properly and heal.

How's everyone going?
Soda, any news?
Luckyjade, how are you feeling? Hope you've been seen by now and are on your road to recovery.
Time is just dragging here. Every twinge i think 'i hope that was ovulation'. I'm upping my meds tomorrow and expect af within the next 2weeks. If not, I'll be pissed! Can't wait for this cycle to begin. I'm finding it frustrating as a lot of people who were pregnant after me are on their way or just had their second already. I keep getting asked 'are you planning any more children?' which makes me angry. Such an innocent question as they have no idea what I'm going through. Feeling isolated and wonder if I'm a bit depressed again (got this way after my first m/c). Sigh.

Hi Ladies! Good to see a few of you all still keeping this forum going (well, not really, I wish we didn't need it... but it's good to see all the virtual love and support getting dished out!)
Poppy, it's great to see that you have a plan in action. I hope it works for you!!! I used progesterone pessaries in my third pregnancy but it was doomed to fail with trisomy 14. They are so messy and yuck, but well worth it if they work! I know NZVeg used them with her current pregnancy (and she's in the third tri now!!!!). As for how they made me feel... it was just a lot like normal preg symptoms when on them (which can be confusing if your in the TWW and using them).
LuckyJade, sorry to hear about your loss. Did you get an apt this week? I've had 4 missed mc and never mc on my own, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away! Hopefully things get sorted out quickly - it's an awful limbo land to be stuck in.
Nell, how are you getting on? Have you fully recovered from the d&c. I'm anxious to hear about the results of the karyotype test, so make sure to let us know when you find out. I hope you are finding things to distract you and put a smile on your face. Remember that you don't have to pretend that everything is ok though. One mc is tough, but no one should have to go through as much as you have in the last few years :-(
Hi to everyone else!!
Nothing new for me. STILL just waiting for our chance at IVF in July. I've been tracking my cycle since I stopped the pill a few weeks ago and I think I may have OV finally (CD16) but my OPKs never got that dark. Normally I'd have a day of almost dark, a day of totally positive and then totally negative the next day. But I've had three days now of almost positive. Grrrr. I hope it doesn't mean anything sinister.
