First day back at college for me, now on to the next round of assignments 5 weeks left and counting!

I was supposed to have a scan on Saturday re the hole in the heart, but my f'in m/w didn't write the right thing on the form. We got there for an 8am appt, waited 1/2 hr because of staffing issues, only to be told that the heart specialist didn't work weekends and that my m/w should have told me that and wrote specific details on the form. Yet another thing she did wrong. Bring on the specialist I say! Anyway, upshot is I have the scan at 2pm (although DH can't make it so mum's standing in ), will update you all once I know what's going on. Oh, and the scan's free because they felt sorry for us!

Best of luck for this afternoon emz. I hope it all goes well & you get some good news. Your MW sounds blardy useless though. I would so not be impressed getting up that early on a Sat morning only to be told that they'd have one very angry pregnant woman with no patience on their hands...

Good Luck, Emz. Let us know how you go.....your MW does sound terrible...I can't believe that you are being so patient with her!

I know what you mean about the list Sally, DH has one of them and its still rather long. Got my Dad round to paint our bathroom as couldn't be bothered waiting for DH. He is there today finishing it..

Ha ha good work Peanut getting your Dad around. I have threatened to call "Hire a Hubby" a few times... DH was so proud of himself the other day when he told me he'd made a start on the list - of course it was the easiest thing on it (removing a few cobwebs from the kitchen walls...) what a legend

I'm hoping he's going to ring around a couple of decorators this afternoon to find someone to wallpaper our bedroom but I bet he "forgets" & he'll be sitting on the couch when I get home.

Hi all, Yes it has been super quiet on here. I have been away all weekend at the beach and the weather was lovely!!! I still had a cry though as I felt like a huge beached whale on the beach while my friends all had there little toned bodies in skimpy bikinis. Made the little self esteem I have disappear unfortunatley. Still, it was nice to get away (we do go just about every weekend though!). DP had his last rugby game on Sat. Thank God!!! I am so sick of it. Every weekend for the past 8 months and not to mention the 3+ days of training every week was rugby. So glad he has decided to retire.

You all sound like you are getting organised, well done
I am probably the most un-organised on here now as I have been super busy with assignments for uni. And as for DP, as usual he does not much. Our lawn is tiny but hardly gets mowed, I do 99% of the cleaning and cooking while he likes to make mess or lie on the couch! grrr. I must admit sometimes he is good, but mostly useless. I still love him though as he is a lovely person.

Emz, your MW sounds very annoying. Glad you will be seeing the specialist soon and can start to enjoy it all.

Well, all is clear with bubs! No noticeable defects in the heart, so I'm rapt. And OMG has our wee man started to fill out or what! It was such a difference being able to see a baby face instead of this horrible skeletal 'thing' we've seen all through the pregnancy. I'm so excited that I'll be getting regular scans (hopefully anyway) so I can keep tracking his growth. And they think he weighs about 1100 grams at the moment from his measurements - average to slightly under average so I'm stoked!

I attempted to write this before but the computer shut down on me!

I find the hiccups mostly happen at night and are extremely irrating but then I find seeing the baby move kinda creepy. I have had 1 BH about 10 weeks ago and nothing since.

Did the hospital tour last night at class. Its not half as scary as I thought it would be. The scariest bit for me was the massive red digital clock on the wall. Looks like a bomb countdown device. Pleased its behind the bed and I don't have to look at it the whole time.

Great news on the all clear, Emz, Must be such a relief now youc an get back to enjoying your pregnancy!

Yeah, that big red clock is weird aye? It's just massive, I'm kind of worried that anyone that is THAT blind that they can't see a small clock shouldn't be delivering my baby! Oh, how the mind boggles...

I had BH about 3 weeks ago from memory, but nothing since that. I also find seeing the baby move really creepy, especially the other night when DH had his hand on my belly and it kind of looked like the baby tried to push him away. They're really uncomfortable most of the time, I sort of notice myself getting a shock every time they happen. Should probably get used to it though!

I love seeing my belly move & am constantly lifting up my top to see & feel him kick. I know DH thinks I'm strange & I probably am but I don't really care

I think DH finds it all a bit weird. He doesn't put his hands on my belly all that often & the other day he made a comment about me being more attached since baby's in my belly...

I love feeling the kicks and movements but think that the seeing it bit looks like a scene out of alien. My Dh is kinda like yours, Sally. He will put his hand on my tummy every now and then but is def not obessed with it! Although he is super excited about meeting the baby but not the whole pregnancy thing...although he has had it easy as my pregnancy has been a breeze!

Your bump is looking great Sally! I will have to take one next week when I am 30 weeks as it is a bit of a milestone.

I have been having BH quite regularly now but baby has been very quiet for the past few days. Should I be worried or would she just be having a growth spurt?

Speaking of BH I think I had a couple during the night while I was half asleep. It felt a little painful & my tummy went harder than usual. Either that or it was just a brief cramp...

I guess you're feeling baby move at least a few times a day Topsy? From what I've read it seems to be quite normal that babies have really active times as well as quiet times. I figure they're asleep for the majority of the day... But if you are starting to get a little concerned perhaps a phone call to your MW would put your mind at rest. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about though.

I had a MW appt yesterday and all is going well. My fundal height is back up to where it should be & my BP is good. She had a good feel of my belly & said that baby is head down & in an anterior position. Fingers crossed he stays that way

Topsy, Mine has stopped kicking and wriggling as much. I asked my MW last week about it and she said that there is less room so movements do decreases but should never stop. MW said that you should be feeling at least 10 movements a day, if not then to ring her.

Hope that helps.

Sally, Mine is finally head down also, after spending the whole pregnancy lying transverse. I was a little gutted that baby has moved so early as it was so much more ocmfortable transverse than head down.

Oh I hope mine moves in the next few weeks too, he's still breach and posterior, the sonographer made a little comment about it the other day that he looked like he was quite comfortable in that position - might have to start trying to turn him in the next few weeks...
