Is he teething possibly? Rohan seemed upset for what I thought was no reason (what a bad mother I am!) and off his food - then up popped his first two teeth on Xmas Day!

MIL spotted them first which made me feel very bad

Sam cries in between mouthfuls sometimes if I give him solids before bottle.

Oh and he's on about 900mls+ a day too.

Don't let plunket tell you how much formula they need, your little one will tell you how much they need. For ages Sam would have 4-5 bottles of 150mls, and now he's after at least 6 bottles a day, some with 150mls, some with 200mls!

I agree, it could be teething too.

true it could be teething - no sign of a tooth or anything yet. He slept fantastic last night - so was it because of the hot weather lol who knows. Hubby and i spoke last night and agreed if max wants another bottle during the day then to give it too him as long as he gets his solid meals. Think i'll use plunket as a guide but will probably go by what the boy wants. Thanks for all the feedback

Great news! Rohan woke at 2.30 and had 150ml, then a squeak at 5 which we ignored. Then awake and gooing at 6.15 which we ignored and finally up at 7.15!

Still need to get more food into him during the day somehow!

Oh well., try again today and see what happens.

I think Plunket and others are great for the big things, but each baby is different so you know what suits your wee one best. Just trying to suss mine out still!

Tricia - i just rung plunket again for some advice as max has had a hard day and of course i got another person and well she said a 7month old should be having about 1 litre formula! she was very odd those - telling me babies wake at night because thats what they did when mums fed them in the caves!!!! all very odd. Think i wont be ringing them for advice again - cant wait til my plunket lady is back.
So now im just as confused haha - i think its best i just give him bottle first then solid.
She did say they just offer advice - but its hard when u get told completely different and odd advice.

I know what you mean. I've been pulling my hair out with Ro today - last bottle he had was a 10.30 and he won't touch one since - not for want of me trying!

He had his solids at lunch OK but knocked his tea out of my hand and smashed the bowl on the floor! An accident I'm sure but it just adds to my frustration.

Just finished his temper tantrum and is asleep which is going to totally wreck his bedtime routine!!

If only they came with a user guide eh? I don't think I'm cut out for being a mother somehow.

Oh i SO know how u feel, Max was up for most of the day - tired as but wouldn't sleep, he eventually did and when he woke he was full of giggles - its the smiles and giggles that get me through it.

I have felt hopeless the last few days to the point that i think Max hates me and plunket confusing me hasn't helped me either. I use to have Max sorted with a good day and night routine that just all of a sudden changed. I think I just need to take it day by day - tomorrow is a brand new day.

Hope tomorrow is better for the both of you as well

Know what you mean - DH came home and played with Ro - he was all smiles and giggles and one look just makes it all better!

Only up once last night which is good. He seems to start off OK on his botle then get very anti it - tried bonjela on his gums to see if that helps and we finally finished the bottle - though it was a tussle!

I think I'll stick to the advice of mu Mum's group from our Plunket classes - they seem to have been there for most of Ro's issues.

Have a good day Lua!
