Oh well its a start and at least he's had one decent feed today.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=19132">HippyMama</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 33702<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 May 2010 at 1:51pm<br /><br />If you really want to push through the nursing strike, I'd suggest switching from a bottle to a sipper cup or even just a regular cup - that way his latch won't become affected, and he is less likely to end up preferring the bottle as it is less work for him to drink from. <br /><br />We had a nursing strike not too long ago, and boy was it stressful - but we made it through in the end! I offered it as often as DD2 would let me but didn't force the issue, made sure I kept my own fluids up and offered her a little bit of water, and kept offering her solids as usual too. I was lucky that it lasted only 24 hours, but I was prepared to work through it for as long as would have been necessary. ]]>

Lily went on a few nursing strikes last week (turns out she had a sore tummy) and we got in the car to go to the doctors and she decided she would feed when we got there *sigh* <br /><br />Every time I offered her the breast she'd scream, cry, etc and pull away. ]]>

It  can feel  really  horrid when they do that.  He's getting  all he needs  from the EBM am sure. Try the Kelly Mom  website it has some great info. What worked for  me was  standing and  walking around with Bubs  latched on. Don't know why this worked  but it did.  After a couple of days  she was all go again.]]>

He has now started drinking EBM from a bottle (which is something he refused to do previously) as well as extra water but I am completely freaked out (and more than just a little bit sad) that he might not accept me again.<br /><br />Just after a little reassurance from you lovely ladies that there is nothing to worry about!  Also any advice or tricks for getting him to go back to BF.]]>
