I guess I'm inclined to agree with this. I brought my son to the football club as a child (at 4 years old). And I must say that it was a good decision. Parents are often bored when their children are at extracurricular activities, but football is our common hobby now. I can support him in the stands or watch adult football on my smartphone. We still have one from when I was a baby and it is quite comfy. Only thing is, they don't have a table attached, since they're meant for children who want to sit at the table with their parents.

This specific one is kind of expensive, but there are lots of similar ones that are cheaper. Go for one made of wood rather than plastic, that's much less likely to collapse on you. I'll include a link to the official website of the chair I have, but that's just to illustrate what I mean :) Also, if you dig a little, you could surely find a second-hand-one.

I'm heavier than you, but I'm about the same height, so if I fit into that chair, you should definitely fit as well. And like I said, they're meant to easily hold an adult, so the center of gravity is also not a problem.

I also have the Svan of Sweden https://www.evababygear.com/best-high-chairs/ and am very happy with it. My son who is now 2.5 years old still loves it. It comes with a tray (you can buy a plastic cover for the tray as an extra). The chair can be modified so that it can be used as a normal chair as well when your bub is big enough. I would recommend it - although I agree that IKEA's cheap and cheerful ones are very good too! It depends if you are bothered about the look of the chair or not really.
There was a delay with kitchen and we didn't install for 6 months, when we did we found Parmco had packed a badly damaged oven in a pristine box. Luckily the retailer replaced it (not the first time apparently!) but I later found out that the warranty started with the purchase of the first oven. The new oven had a faulty fan and had 2 repairs before it was replaced. Also the clock faulted and needed replacing. The instruction book said clean the oven with warm soapy water. That was useless so I reverted to traditional cleaning methods and all the chrome came off the racks - normal wear & tear not covered under warranty!! Just out of warranty the clock faulted again and the grill stopped working (corroded wires) The clock acted like the timer had gone off - would start flashing and turn the oven off. The electrician recommended by Parmco bypassed the clock so the oven would work without it because the clock costs about $200 to replace. I would never recommend Parmco.

Good thing that gadgets are meeting the demands of modern living, thus lightweight and portable cribs are already in the market. I love the great outdoors and travelling. Hence, I plan to bring my child with me. She cannot walk yet but crawls and climbs faster than an average baby as my friends with toddlers comment. That is why I plan to buy her a crib and my choices are down to the first and last travel cribs from this site. I was also thinking of following a DIY portable crib from this link. Which of the three is more practical? I really need a portable crib as I usually travel with my parents and they easily get tired chasing or carrying my little girl.sitelink

Leaks terriblely at night & waking baby to change all clothes & linen in the middle of our cold winter nights are definitely not worth it! My boy only wears disposables at night time as we do cloth during the day & I will not recommend babygenie to do this. Also if your bubs is a moderate to high wetter you'll need to change 4 hourly at least. The moisture saps through at the bottom of the nappy as well once it is full.

Edited by Malani191042 - 24 July 2015 at 2:10am

I ran into the same problem and freaked out. Went into my local baby on the move and he said it is American wording that confuses people, the short of it is, it is supposed to be used tear facing until 15.8kg but is absolutely NOT to be used forward facing before 9kg. Same with the next weight limit. I.e it should not be used as a booster before 18kg but can be safely used with the harness until 36kg(? The next weight limit on the label) and then used as a booster after 36kg-46kg. Hope that helps. For the record. We have two of these and are just buying a third. LOVE them. My sister and some friends have the diono radian and I hate it. It is so much more fiddly with non self retracting latch system, no sliding harness and very angular. We started off with one evenflo symphony then when number two came along got a different smaller one and ended up re-purchasing another evenflo coz we hated it so much. We are now purchasing a third evenflo as a much needed spare. We have had our original ones polystyrene one snap in the skinny point by child's hip but it doesn't effect safety or use as it is only a comfort layer and not structural =)

It is confusing with all the options! My advice is to remember all babies are different and will prefer different things, there's no right or wrong way.

I recommend the miracle blanket if you want to swaddle with the arms down, but my little one preferred her arms up so we ended up using the love to dream swaddle me up. It was absolutely brilliant! Will def use it again next time around. We then put her in a sleeping bag at about 3 months I think.

I really like the look and price of the Mocka cots, but am a little worried about being able to make up the bed and get bubs in and out without the side dropping down. Any advice would be super helpful!

Thanks
