I was looking at my little man in the baby seat the other day and thinking 'is he getting too big for this now?'

Roughly at what age do you stop using the baby seats provided in trolleys?

Um I think its 9kgs? Or maybe 12 I'm not sure. If he can sit up OK its probably ok to move him to the normal seat.

Caprece sometimes has to go in the baby seat when I can't find one with 2 normal seats and shes fine in it, she just prefers sitting upright.

The ones here have a 9kg limit so I just went with that. The other thing to look for is whether they are actually able to sit up in a less supportive toddler seat for a whole hour (or however long you take to shop). When I was changing over, I grabbed a toddler and baby trolley so I could change baby over partway through if necessary.

Gremlins still go in them coz the only twin trolleys at our Countdown have baby seats. It drives me nuts coz they would be much better in the proper seat thingie but nope, they have to be strapped in like babies

Ok, it looks like I've got to let go and let my little man be a little man and not a baby

They just grow up so quickly!!!!!

Thanks ladies!

you'd think they would have more the normal twin seat trolleys (as in proper seats) as sometimes a parents will have say a 3 year and a 12 month old .

I started putting Megan in the seat a couple of weeks ago even though she is well under the weight limit the baby seats she prefers sitting up.
