It's something I've been particularly warned to look out for but haven't had yet, thankfully. But thats because I have a low-lying placenta. I presume they'd have picked it up already if you had the same, so I guess thats not much help to you sorry!
If it happens to me they'll scan and monitor baby to see how the placenta is doing but its unlikely to mean an early delivery apparently (depends if the blood is from the placenta separating or not, I guess).

It would be worth mentioning to the mw but I had it at around 34 weeks first time round and it was actually my show starting to come away and my cervix doing its thing. Jack was born one day before his DD so it did not cause him to come preterm or anything. However there are different causes of bleeding so do mention it to your mw.

I didn't bleed like a period type thing, but I had spotting and some blood when I wiped a couple of times through my pregnancy. I had to wear a liner and keep an eye on it.
If it was old blood (browny) the MW wasn't too concerned. Fresh blood she really wanted to know about.
Anyway I went on to have a normal labour (I was 6 days late but all was fine).

Depends what kind of bleeding and when it happens MM. If it is painless, short and sudden (fresh bleeding which clots quickly) and happens on the loo, during intercourse or anything that could disturb the cervix then it is most likely to be a cervical blood vessel bursting which is no problem at all. If concerned though, talk to your MW chick.

I had bleeding from 32 weeks till madi was born, sometimes brown, sometimes red.. Volume also varied..
MW made me go to hospial, where I spent the morning then was discharged at around 1pm.
She said it was cervical erosion..Madi went on fine and was born at 41wks 6days.
But I would recommend seeing your mw, even just to put your mind at rest!!
