ok so today I thought I would try the cradle hold with Megan.
it worked ok except it felt like my boobs were falling down .Now I am rather big in the chest department. I had been using the football hold. My reason for doing the cradle hold is I still want to be able to go out to friends place and feed Megan if need be.
anyone got any tips to help keep me boobs up so to speak..lol

Breastfeeding pillows are awesome! They bring baby up to your boobs and save your arm, shoulder and back muscles.
You can also use a tri-pillow or regular pillows stacked around you but I found the breastfeeding pillow most comfortable.

Breastfeeding pillows made it way harder for me (I'm a G cup). One of the best things I found until I got use to a new hold was propping my boob up with a roll up flannel etc after a while though I found out how to hold myself so that I didn't need this though it did take practice.
ETA: what i meant with the flannel is tucking it under my boob - thought I should add that in case I confuse ya hehe

If I'm feeding from my left boob I hold my boob with my left hand and baby with my right. It's not the most elegant pose, but it works!!
I started off doing the football hold but changed for exactly the same reasons.
When I'm in the comfort of my home the tri pillow is always on my lap but I still do the same holding.

Sorry I'm no help I have the opposite problem, I have to hold bubs up so high to get my small wee girls.
I'm not sure how the whole angle thing works but you could try having baby lean against your arm and use the other hand to hold your boob up. This is what I do but more pull my boob down to her.

I use a BFing pillow- it holds baby higher than a tri pillow as they are usually a bit thicker and denser. Then, like sparkle, I hold my left boob with my left hand and visa versa. It keeps your other hand free to help baby latch on, support their back or later on use the computer mouse

I am still football hole feeding Lily most of the time, it is so much easier! But when i do have to do the normal feeding I kind of lean my boob on my arm, the arm that her head is also on.

I have big boobs, in fact I remember being horrified when Maya was born to realise that her head was smaller than my boob, I thought it would squash her!
I used a pillow at home, but when I was out I would cross my legs so the top leg was on the side I was going to feed from. Then I propped bub across me using the highest part of my knee to support her head/shoulders. If I was feeding off the right side I held her using my left arm and used my right hand to kind of pull my breast back so it didn't squash her nose, and vice versa for the left side.
Hope that makes sense!

I too have big boobs (10ff and not feeding)...anywho i used the same techniques as Maya, i found the pillow at home was the best and out would somehow manage to prop baby across......
Good luck, you will work it out the more you do it

Mine are crazy big now and I do the same as Stacey - roll a flannel and stick it underneath - helps position the nipple better.
I find the BF pillows are a bit high if I'm in bed but they're fine for sitting on the couch.

Soon you will be able to do it with one hand holding bubs and your boob will just sit naturally on top of your arm......When they little its a bit tricky to get the "geographics" right

Megangrace -be careful when you're experimenting with new holds not to compromise the latch. I got a bit cocky and stuffed my nipples up again - more pain.
My boobs are big too - I still latch Anyssa on using football hold, then when she is nicely stuck on, switch to cradle. I use my other hand to hold my boob up while feeding her.
