Hey ladies,
I had a midwife appointment yesterday and found that bubs has shifted since my last appointment into a posterior position (facing out). My midwife gave me a fact sheet of exercises to do and ways to sit etc.
But... How do I know if I have managed to turn the baby? What should I be feeling for? The placenta is anterior which makes it a bit difficult to feel for the baby's back against my stomach. I have started to do some of the "on all fours" exercises and when I get up I feel all front heavy and very off balance - does this mean bubs has shifted already?
Also - I keep feeling a "hitting" sensation in what I think is the recess of my left hip bone and at the same time I feel bubs stretch out towards the upper right hand ribs. I'm wondering if this baby is as smart as it's mum and thinks the hip is the way to the cervix?

Either that or it's definitely a bloke and won't ask for directions
