Heya,

Just wondering what people recommend as the best piping bags for decorating kids birthday cakes.. Looking at trademe an there are heaps but dont know which would do the best job .. There are solid ones as well as the actual bags.

Could you ask a cake shop to recommend one? I know the local cake shop by me rents out tins and stuff to make your own so am sure they would be able to tell you?

I still use the old-fashioned way - greaseproof paper with a hole in the end! Doesn't get all the pretty things but because I'm used to this way I'd be inclined to go for the ease of a bag.

I use the cloth bags, the solid ones like a syringe I found fiddly to use. I got a selection of nozzles from house of knives for $6.

I prefer the bags as thats all we used at the Bakery I used to work at. I find bags are more easy to control and manouvre.

I bought 2 cheap ones that came with all the nozzles for under $5 I think. If you buy 2 then you don't have to keep rinsing them out when you want to change colours.
