I was going to suggest a trolley too, or perhaps a truck he can push around?

We got Xavier a Baby Tad for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, and he just loves it! It goes everywhere with him, nearly as much as George (his special cuddly toy).

For Christmas, we're not getting our children much... they all are getting a beach towel,a wallet, an outfit and a book... Kiya's getting some crafty stuff, and some more books, Josiah's getting some dress-up stuff and maybe some goggles, and Xavier is getting some musical instruments.

Becca, apparently the $2 shop have some animal dress up costume things. Saw a lady the other day whose kid was running around in the supermarket dressed as a crocodile, and the whole set only cost her $2. They have a whole range apparently. Am going to look for Xanda as he loves dress ups.

I got Joshie the most GORGEOUS little trike - brand is called a "radio flyer", really retro looking with a handle thing on the back. It's red and cream, and GOOOOORGEOUS!!

Not sure what to get the big kiddies - it's our Christmas with them this year, and we're going for a super special outing on Christmas morning, but we're stuck for what on earth to get them. Maybe bikes too... eeek!

Thanks Kate! I'll check them out!

I just remembered, last Christmas Josiah was nearly 20 months old and we got him the Fisher-Price Play-n-Learn Puppy. It was a huge hit, and wasn't particularly expensive either. He still plays with it regularly, and it sounds like the batteries are just starting to go flat now.
