Ashamed - shocking statements.
I don't get to make racist and nasty remarks in my professional life, he should be held to the same standards everyone else is, if not higher.

I agree with you JadeC.
I don't understand why people think that he's saying what everyone is thinking... that makes me ashamed of NZ, TBH.

I do normally think he's hilarious, and so happy that someone can say thngs without worrying about being PC! However, even though I really believe he didn't mean to be offensive by what he said, it was inappropriate, especially to ask the PM..... should have been a case of brain editing before it came out
Sometimes he does act like a 10 year old, but how boring would life be if we all said and thought the exact same thing?

Have to say I'm ashamed too. I usually think he's hilarious but the comments about the GG were appalling IMHO and his giggling fit re the commonwealth games woman was just embarrassing. I think he crossed the line big time this time and will be surprised if he's back on Breakfast any time soon.

Ashamed. I think he's insensitive and doesn't think before he speaks. Never found him funny and never will. Bring back Sunrise!!!

I think that what he said what insensitive and done so without thinking how inappropriate it really sounded, but apart from that I'm a fan of his, think he's entertaining and I enjoy watching Breakfast

Don't think he is funny at all! I don't really think a name is worth laughing hysterically over and making derogatory comments about....
Don't watch Breakfast though so I don't know what he is like normally.

Ashamed- what kind of grown up man acts like a 2 year old? In fact 2 year olds have better manners.
Besides heaps of people are far funnier than he is without taking pot shots. Cheap way to get a laugh IMO.

I am usually a fan of Paul Henry and like the fact someone is un-PC for a change, but he does sometimes take it that wee bit too far.... there isn't any excuse for such racism.

I like him .
And I think Paul Holmes "cheeky darky " comment was worse.
I also think there are politicians who say worse
However, I also think he put his foot in it, and should really learn to think before he speaks, especially in public
But bottom line, I liken those that have nothing better to do than protest outside TVNZ about his staying in TVNZ as the same boring people who would write to Women's day complaining about the latest exploits of Brangelina.

I am ashamed of him. I dont think he should be working at our national government supported broadcaster. he needs like a shock collar or something to tell him when he is going too far. I wont watch breakfast because of him.

I agree.
I like him and like that he isn't too PC, I think there is too much PC in this world.
I don't think he was racist but I do think that he shouldn't have made that comment about the GG. I think that it has been blown way out of proportion and the mole hill is becoming a very large mountain

We watch Breakfast every morning and we haven't enjoyed it as much without him. I don't agree with what he said on this occasion but don't feel he should be sacked over it.

Agreed, I don't think like him and I hate them saying that we all do. I think he should be removed. I actually don't know why he wasn't fired a long time ago

Supportive - I don't think he intends to offend as such and that everything has gotten a little too PC and things are sometimes taken a little too seriously.
Don't know if I agree that he is saying what everyone else is thinking, but definately has his own opinion and isn't afraid to voice it.
