Sarah I mostly feed off one. If she starts suckling I take her off and squeeze (.) to see how much milk comes out, if not much I will give her the other (.) if heaps comes out then I don't. Eva has been squirming while feeding the last couple of days, no idea why.
Shell hope the meds help.
T bummer about the man flu hope u feel better soon.
Pomikiwi yay for daycare, it must make such a differnce for you. Hope Spencer gets better fast, poor we man. It must be hard to have a toddler as well, I would imagine they would get jelous.
Aithne bummer about burning yourself, hope you are ok and it isn't too bad.

Sarah what an awesome sleep you had! Eva had her last feed at 11.15pm (I slept on the couch before then) then woke at 5.40am but I have been awake since and she is awake now ready to eat again... no sleep for me this morning!
Gota go, crying bubs isnt stopping.

Mika has too! Not all the time, but quite often. At first I thought the (.) she was on must be empty, but then I squeeze it and still heaps comin out. Then I thought maybe she's finished, but she keeps wanting to go back on. So no idea what the squirming is about.

Ella Eva is just the same, when I squeeze heaps comes out, my guess is that she wants to suckle but there is still loads of milk there and she doesn't want that so that is why she goes on then squirms off?? Soud like it could be right??

^^ thats what Spencer does too, he'll have a great feed then just sucks for a while, that creates another let down which he doesn't want so he gets all angry, hehe!

Sarah I am so envious of your sleep last night! I keep reminding myself that it will happen here too one day - just not yet, obviously!
So much for my plans of getting out in the fresh air - it is persisting down here, as it can only do on the Coast. Oh well, we needed it - especially as I am doing so much washing, and we are on rain water! Lucky DH installed a larger tank late last year.

Sarah sounds like we could all do with what Stu is doing. Almost a full nights sleep- what bliss!
I had 2 wines last night thinking Ava would wake sometime after 1am, guess who woke at 11.30pm crying for food? Cheeky monkey. Good thing they were small glasses of wine and I went to bed at 9pm.

Kate is doing the wiggling thing too when feeding, little rat.
I'm loving all the smiles and talking but not liking them at 3:45am!! She woke me up, and I found her smiling and talking away, tried to ignore her but the MIL went to get her up and started talking to her. She quite often smiles with the bottle in her mouth little rat.
mmm wine! One of the bonuses of bottle feeding, not that I've had a glass.
I don't know how to do the quote thing properly but Kate is now 4.96kgs and 60cms!

Thank god Tayla has gone back to a longish sleep, last feed at 9-9:30 and next feed at 3am. Wondering if I try to do a dream feed at 11 whether she'll stay asleep till 5-6am.. hmmm
Tayla has started "swinging" her legs while feeding as well. Must be because they have better control of their arms and legs now. It's so cute!!

I was reaching for a bottle behind the jug, while the jug was boiling. i didnt realise how close my arm was to it before it was too late so managed to give me a burn the size of the bottom of a normal size bottle. Ouch !!
Ive figured the reason that Rory does so well at night is cos he hardly sleeps during the day. He is such a light sleeper so any loudish noise can startle him awake, he only cat naps now for a couple mins at a time. he doesnt have a good long sleep. i also give hm a massive feed just before bed time so i think that helps.
Im really not liking the real tears, Rory look sooo sad now when he crys.
Is it normal to be able to smell when baby has just done a pee, and thats its really quite strong, like kind of burns my nose???

Me either  they are heartbreaking.
Not too sure on the pee but I can sometimes smell Tayla's not as strong as you though. I think we get a little "tuned" into their smells lol maybe call plunketline and see what they say.
Hope your arms gets better soon.

Aithne - Does Rory have lots of wet nappies? Cause strong smelling wee's are usually a sign of not enough fluid for us, but not sure if thats the same for babies!
Spencer has had a really settle day bless after a rocky start this morning.
Had my friends kids round today with their nanny for lunch and another friend and her girl and baby boy. Then my midwife turned up so it was choas, in my little house,lol!
I have to confess, poor Spencer doesn't even have his own room set up properly yet! So much junk in there with him :-( I know he wont care but I kinda feel guilty that Carys' looked all pretty and organised and his isn't.

Eva weighed 5.22kg today (500g in 2 weeks)... WOO HOO! Think that Gaviscon might be making a difference by keeping more milk down.
She is in the top 75% for her height, going to be a tall lady I think.
