Well, there are now 3 of us, so lets start our own thread... all those yukky early pregnancy symptoms. How is everyone feeling so far? (apart from nervous/scared/super excited!)
The tiredness, for me, is starting to abate, thank goodness, as I was feeling very rugged and wanting to crawl into bed at around 3pm, very difficult with a full on one year old. I also have waves of M/S, not as bad as last time (couldn't eat, lost 20kg) but I know it is early days yet. It is still fairly yuck, so am going to DR tomorrow to get a "stud" put in my ear by the DR who does accupuncture, I have heard this works wonders, so will let you know...

Just lurking here but I wanted to say...
I did a double take when I saw Feb babies - I was like "what? no way - surely not" - it feels like yesterday that I felt like I had the furthest to go being due in Sept! I remember that no one was due later than me - and now there are babies due in Feb! Unbelieveable! I can't believe how quickley that went by! Wow!
 Congradulations!!! |

   Hi Trish
Jacob still dosen't sleep very well either, so it makes it hard, aye? In the last week or so, i have been so desperate, I got tough with him and did the go in, cuddle and change but not feed, then let him cry it out thing. After 3 nights of crying, he got the message, and now will still wake, but will lie in his cot singing to himself (loudly!)till he drifts off again. YAY! I had the accupuncture stud things put in my ear today. Feeling better already... I get cramps at night, so I put my feet up with a few bits of dairy milk and the remote, and do nothing! You must find it so hard working 50t hours a week. You need a medal girl!

Im 4-5weeks and feeling relatively ok. I havent felt sick much but Ive been chronically tired. Ive cracked down on my diet so Im feeling a little better for eating well. It will be interesting caring for a baby when Im in wheelchair, but I have a great partner, and I spent 4 years as a nanny, and I coped then. Hello to all the Feb/March mums!   |

   Hi ya everyone
Well - we just found out we are pregnant - yay!! I wondered how long you would wait before sorting out a midwife? The nurse at the family planning said to give it a couple of weeks before I ring up for one but I was worried about missing out...

Well, i went in to the clinic the day after I found out to leave a message for my midwife to call me, and I saw her then and there, and again 2 days later, and have my nect appt next week. I wanted to book in earlier cos my lady gets booked out really fast,a nd i just didn't want anyone else. Wouldn't hurt to ring around, surely? You will need to get all those lovely ante natal blood screens done. Am still going YAY for you!!

Thanks girls I am hoping that everything is ok.
I am from Wellington Trish - very cold here today!!
I think I will start ringing around today. The lady at the clinic said "if you don't manage to find a midwife..." and I was like - how can I not find one!! She said that it can be difficult due to staff shortages etc etc so I think I would be best to get in early
