 Topic: Flat cloth nappies

Just bought a dozen of these off TM for use as dribble cloths etc. It was $20 for 12 (I haven't found them in shops for less than $30-odd for 12) which included courier delivery and I'm stoked with the quality of them and how fast they arrived! Oh, obviously they're brand new ones, not secondhand.
PM me if you want the trader's username, otherwise they should be fairly easy to find if you're searching around on there. I think the trader is fairly new, they only had three or four trades, but I was a happy customer.

I've found cloth flats indispensable too. With Maya we used them folded round her butt, with the gremlins we've used them as nappies, as inserts, as spew cloths, to wipe snotty noses, to cover the front of the stroller when they are supposed to be napping, under their heads to catch dribbles in their cots, to line the change table/change mat, under them for nappy off time...

I bought some off the same trader (I guess) and I thought it was a great deal too. I got them to use as anything but also just in case there is a "oh sh*t, we didnt wash any nappies" day.

flat cloths are invaluable! (sp?) i use them everywhere that emma has said. they make great hankies when you have a cold and your nose won't stop running too because they are so soft

At my antenatal class they told us that flat cloths also make great spare bassinet sheets for those fun nights when bubs has peed through three sets of sheets already 
Oh, and as wraps for winter babies too, and bath towels if need be.
Any other uses for them?

i have about 40 odd, we using them as nappies, burping cloths, to change on, wish we had them for haleigh, but df has only just now realsed how great they really are

they are good for when the matress protector is in the wash just fold them up and put under head.
They are great for a reflux baby as well you need something big to clean up all the spew.

Our antenatal class suggested putting one under baby's head to catch spills etc when it is sleeping so you dont have to change the sheets as often. She even had an ingeniuos way of folding it so you can just refold it and use it again and again before washing it.

I didn't think you were 'allowed' to use fabric softner on them???????? Or is that just if you are using them as bottom nappies and not wipes??
