After much discussion (moaning) to other females, I have come to the conclusion that with our husbands, we are all widows to something!

Its been bugging me lately as DH has been very busy getting his car ready for the Daybreaker rally that was on last weekend. He said he was going to take a break for a few weeks but guess what he was up to on Sunday, and every day since?! So I get to spend another night at home by myself. He says he would happily stay home and watch Hannah if I wanted to go out and do something, but what would I do? I was playing badminton, but too fat now.

Ah well, guess it gives me something to moan about. So everyone, make me feel better and tell what you are a widow to
Aimee

In summer its Cricket (2 practise nights per week, all day saturday -and normally all saturday night too and since Dh is on the committy hes out at meetings all the time)
Also it WAS his job as he is in IT and worked late hours. Hes started a new job and no overtime yet although he has been there just over a week and already done one night till 9pm so who said no overtime???

With hubby it is anything to do with Bikes. Use to go on Breakfast runs quite often. Luckily he cant do it here as he will lose his lisence. That is why he will never get a big bike here and didnt bring his racebike and his roadbike over.

Use to be marine fish.

These days it is building jet models and flying them ect. Drives me nuts. And then beer drinking after work on a Friday. I swear I am going to kill him when he comes home late again. McKayla always end up acting up and I have had enough come 7. He doesnt get home pissed or anything but I need my break too.

Right now it's DH working on doing up our rental unit to sell.

And I have a sneaky feeling that the bowls season is about to start, so it will be that next.

(Bowls as in lawn bowls.........he's a 60 year old man trapped in a 33 year olds body!!!!)

For me, it's the opposite. I'm the one that ditches Tobin for my parenting forums

And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one guilty of it

Soccer at any time, day or night, not mentioning his own practice once a week and a game every Saturday!

and working. Owning his own business has its perks, but the hours he does are not one of them!

um, in our house it is me that disappears for training, leaving dh in charge of dinner, kidlets and often the start of bathtime, and a couple of hours at the weekend. all this while he is working hard finishing the house to get it on the market. he is wonderful!
but i have had my years of being a rugby widow (2 x practises, and all day saturday from lunchtime) this is a little bit of payback for me. (ooh, i have to be fair and say that he never left me with TWO kidlets though!)

AHA! he is going to be playing touch rugby this summer, so that will be thursday evenings... which he deserves as he doesnt have any downtime at all.

OH SHOOT! i am trying to feel agrieved and hard done by but it just isnt working!

dirtbike riding - he almost missed Jacks bday party to go riding and I spent my 21st in hospital with him cos he crashed it.

Also doing up hotrods. Today he had just finished painting an HQ Statesman and it was looking pretty good. So he came inside and cooked tea while i lit the fire and Jack stayed outside. Ben went outside to get Jack and he had picked up a piece of sandpaper and had sanded the newly painted car Ben was not happy at all and now the whole thing needs to be painted again.

Hey Janine I saw Mike on Saturday at stage 7 (just out from kimbolton) taking photos! My theory for the actual race day is to go and be part of it else you feel really left out and sit at home grumpy. Hannah also loves going to watch any car events so I am doomed Daniel is already talking about taking Han to speedway once the season starts

Makes me feel better knowing its not just me left at home all the time.

Hunting. Every time off, he's off hunting (provided it's not atrocious weather). Goats, mainly.

Then again, he's a widower to online forums and reading
