Hi everyone!!!
Anyone having any problems with a sore lower back?
Its killing me. I could hardly walk yesterday. Also I cant sleep at night very well. I try a glass of warm milk and it doesnt seem to help. I was awake at 3am the other morning and tossed and turned till 6am. It was so annoying!!
I m only 11 weeks and Im already feeling heavy, uncomforatble and have lots of aches and pains. I cant imagaine it gettting any worse but I guess I will.
Finally found somebody with the same symptom as me!
I had a really sore lower back off and on for about a week when I was between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant. It is has gone away now. It is a pregnancy symptom but I don't think its that common. Try a hot bath and perhaps your partner can give you a massage too! Hope it goes away soon!
Try sleeping with a pillow between your knees, to help align your pelvis. I've been sleeping that way since I was about 12 weeks, and now can't sleep without one!
Just a note about the hot bath suggestion - it's recommended that you don't have hot baths during pregnancy, as these can raise your core body temperature and put your baby at risk. If you do have a bath, make sure that it isn't hot enough to make you sweat. If it is - it's too hot :)
Oh I have this! I am 8 weeks and I get lower back pain, started at about 5 weeks just after i found out and was bad solidly for about 7 weeks after that now comes and goes...but it's not from muscles I can't explain it it'slike period pain but in my lower back. I think it is normal...but I dont know how to make it stop sorry....
If you have the money for it (not sure how much this costs though) alot of Massage Therepists do massage for pregnant ladies - it might come under maternity care and be cheap or free...
I got a free one from a friend who was doing a massage course (when I was pregnant) and it was pure bliss - also cause my partner hasn't mastered the art of massage!!
Have Hope! When my back got sore first trimester everyone said it would only get worse. Don't believe them. 2nd it's a LOT better! Not great but there are very few evenings when I can't walk and then they are usually only if I've done something stupid like washed the car. When I got to about 20 weeks I saw an osteopath and that helped a bit but my main goal in going to see her is so that after the baby she can fix my back before the ligaments harden agin. The pillow between the knees is a must I find to sleep and also a hot bath. Some nights it hurt so much I couldn't lie down and I found a warm bath helped. Good luck and try not to let it get you down to much. :-)
