if she has spewed the wind pains should be gone shouldnt they? that sounds strange, poor sausage, big hugs to you! maybe take her for a drive if she wont settle god bless the motorway
I use colic powder when she gets bad like that and then just walk/jiggle her gently while patting/rubbing her back until she gets it all out. It can take awhile and the poor wee thing screams the whole time. When she eventually gets it all out she falls asleep almost immediately cos she's so tired. Another thing that sometimes helps is a deep warm bath. Hope she's feeling better soon.
Usually they move their legs differenly from how they normally do. Daniel will suddenly pull his legs up to his tummy and then suddenly straighten them out. All the while crying. That is wind in his intestines causing pain. And doing bicycle motions always helps after 5 minutes generally if its further down and sometimes they don't like you doing it as its moving the wind but keeping at it helps. They can't burp it up if it is, they have to fart it out.

Sorry to hijack your thread but we have big problems with Jack and wind during the night. He doesn't cry but won't go to sleep until he farts which can sometimes take an hour+. He tends to go ram rod straight rather then bringing his legs up. So I assume that it is the wind in the intestines as Stacey mentioned. I will try the bicycle motion and see if it helps.
But to my question, do you know what causes it?? We have been to the doctors and had tests and have ruled out him being sick. I wonder if it has to do with teething. Any other ideas?
My own theory for Daniel is a sluggish digestive system. When we make sure we give prune juice if he hasn't pooped that day we don't have an issue with it. Prune juice is good for them and helps keep everything moving so we just give it all the time (watered down)
