Topic: I think its nearly time!!! Posted: 27 March 2006 at 9:08am |
For the last few days I've been having what I think are practice contractions, and last night I began getting regular contractions - every 40 mins or so, lasting for a minute at a time. Not too painful (well, at least I don't THINK they were too bad but I've had a lifetime of shocking period pains so I think I have quite a high tolerance....). It's all calmed down this morning, but I get the feeling it's the calm before the storm!! Or, I could be totally barking up the wrong tree!!
Getting excited!!!

Good luck!! Hoope it is happening for you. Just a warning though - I had painful braxton hicks contractions for about two weeks before having Taine.
sorry - my typos were annoying me.

Yeah, I actually thought of you last night and remembered about that. I don't mind - at least I know "something" is happening. I would hope it will be at least a couple of weeks away - don't want my baby in NICU

Yay Claire, how exciting! I had practise contractions around 36-37 weeks, and then the real thing at 38 weeks, so it could be soon!

Ooooh how exciting!! Hope it happens for you soon Claire. I remember I posted on her two weeks before my due date with lots of niggles etc, but it was two weeks before Hannah arrived. Prob a good idea to finish a week early just in case - you really need to have a bit of YOU time before bubs. Good luck!!

Thanks everyone - well, it really is happening!! I had a 'show' just before!!! My M/W said it could still be up to 3 weeks away, so fingers crossed - that would mean just a little bit earlier than my due date and I'd be happy with that!!!
