Topic: Not that Im bragging but... Posted: 06 May 2006 at 8:40am |
DH bought me flowers last night !! And yes, without being asked, so I promptly burst into "happy tears" LOL Even with all the stress and chaos of moving house, he still took the time to think of doing something special for me *sigh* I am so lucky !!
Ok, brag over

*chortle* Sorry ladies !! (Although not *really* sorry LOL) I don't know about training, but I could always ask I get the feeling there could be quite a demand for this sort of thing *gets $$ signs in her eyes*

And as for the "I'm not his mother" : This is xactly what my dad used to say to my mum but he eventually caved... after about 20yrs or so... ... sorry, not really helping much here am I!

I'm not sure how to explain this just how I want, but I feel a bit 'better' being able to tell people, makes it more "real" LOL Because I'm always a tiny bit disbelieving of the fact that I have such an amazing husband. As in, Me? Husband? AMAZING? Nahhhh LOL

My DF once turned up at my work with a big bunch of flowers and a necklace that he had picked out HIMSELF for me for no apparent reason. Oooh and the other week when I didn't get this new job I thought I was in line for he unexpectedly got a dress off layby for me
But my favourite recent nice thing was when we were eating alphabet soup (I had a sudden urge to cook alphabet soup I don't know why...) he finished his bowl and showed me the letters left over which spelt my name

That is so sweet.
Sigh. 12 years ago when we first got together (and DH was a high school student with no money i might add) I used to get flowers delivered every week and all sorts of goodies. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...............where is the romance. Mind you I dont put out as often as i did back then

lolol Maria. I used to get little bits and pieces of flowers and stuff, i still do sometimes, but not toooo often.
AS for the mother's day thing.. I hope we all get something nice. For my first mother's day i got a ring, a really gorgeous huge one, (it's bigger than my engagement ring ) so i told mike that i expect another one this year so i can have one ring from each of my girls - i think it's something really special and something that i use and love, every single day. Feels like they are always with me wherever i go.
