Know how to change a tyre?
My uncles girlfriend was here and we were talking, she was about to leave and i said 'yu do realize your tyre is dead flat aye?'
Nope she had no idea, and then she said she doesnt know how to change a tyre, so i got the jack out of her boot and she tries to put it ONTOP of the flat tyre in the wheel arch!! LMAO i was in hysterics of laughter by this stage!
How is that suppose to jack the car up!
Lol so i ended up changing it for her.
So how many of you know how to change a tyre?

My dad made sure I knew how to change a tyre before he gave me my first car. It's come in handy too. I've had to do a tyre change on the side of the Akl motorway during peak traffic and in a carparking building in the middle of Wgtn during peak hour too - I would have been there for ages, both times, if I had to wait around for roadside rescue to come and do it for me.
ETA: Sounds like an amusing visit, did you get any of it on camera?

I 'know' how to do it but the only time I tried I couldn't get the nuts off, then when someone else took them off I was too weak to lift the tyre on!

dad is a mechanic so i can change a tyre, change an oil filter, air filter, spark plug most other simple things although if i had to do anything else i could probably guess. on the other hand my sister hates getting dirty, she is 10 years older than me and i had to show her how to pour petrol herself if there was no attendant. she cant even change a lightbulb. lol. everyone is different. she has AA so its no biggy.

My Dad is like some of the others on here. I wasn't allowed to learn how to drive until I knew that!

I do!! And when the nuts are stuck I just jump on the handle. I know how to do most of what Monikah does...I just plead ignorance now though, it's what DF is for unless I'm really stuck (or I'm stuck on the side of the road with a flatty). Helps that I help DF build and pull apart his speedway car motor every season though, and we frequently change the tyres depending on the track conditions.

Same here. I've only ever had one flat though. I was driving through town and the tyre started banging. So I pulled over and sure enough, totally flat. I realised I was just outside a mate's place, so I texted him and said I was outside changing a tyre and he should come help. So he came outside, confessed he had no idea how, and proceeded to sit on the footpath and watch me do it. Good thing I knew how
