Topic: How did you know you were up the duff? Posted: 23 July 2009 at 3:43pm |
This is possibly TMI thread. But what can I say, it's good to share.
My inkling that I was indeed a fertile myrtle was really bad constipation. It felt like I hadn't taken a dump in a week and thought to myself 'Jeeze that's weird.'

hehehe.. my key indicator, as was the time before, was extreme hunger and then the seediness kicked in.... and it was all downhill from there sickness wise :( Thank goodness it's gotten better now!

Sore boobs! Especially the sides of them. Usually when AF is about to arrive they get a bit sore and sensitive, but never sore around the sides of them
Also, I like to get myself into the worst possible time to have a baby and then get pregnant. My first was conceived a week before my partner and I had broken up, and I would have quite happily never ever laid eyes on that awful person for the rest of my life.
The second time (this time) was two weeks after I had met my current partner.
I come from an incredibly fertile family who get pregnant at the drop of a hat, so contraception is no guarantee for me!
I am super super happy about being pregnant though. And my new partner is the BEST thing (other than Sam) that has ever happened to me.

Biggest indicator for me was lying awake most of the night feeling like I was going to hurl, the night before AF was due. Funny thing is, I went on to not have any morning sickness

Late AF for me - 6 weeks pg before I knew about it! Then got insanely itchy nipples - so embarrassing to try and scratch discretely! That was about 8 weeks though.

Sore boobs was the telltale sign for me, like when I get AF but far too soon for that (from 5DPO) and lasting more than 2 days as AF sore boobs do for me.
Not long after that came the occasional that turned into constant nausea thats still here at 10 weeks

I had the yucky taste in my mouth and I started craving a cup of tea (I never normally drink tea and the last pregnancy I had to have a cup of tea every morning before I got out of bed).

Sore boobies that never went away like normal pre-menstrual soreness.
Then soon after I completely went off coffee.

Hhhm for me it was every time I smelt alcohol I wanted to hurl, worst thing was I was on honeymoon and wanted to relax and enjoy cocktails but everytime I tried one I just felt so ill! Turns out I was already pregnant, BEFORE our wedding too...ooopsy! Our plan was to get pregnant on honeymoon but the deed was already done

Argh, I remember so clearly. My AF cycle was anywhere 28-34 Days and on day 34 I felt a massive wave of nausea and thought that was weird so I asked DH to bring home a pregnancy test and sure enough tested at 5am the next morning and it was positive.
My first pregnancy was different as I had been having really irregular and long cycles, and had done gazillions of tests but they were all negative. However my boobs had been feeling tender for a week or so and my sister brought me a pregnancy test cause I refused to do one because of all the negatives I had been getting and what do you know it was positive. I was only 4-5 weeks at that stage and I had not had my period for like 3 mths.
