Topic: Am I the only grumpy one? Posted: 05 February 2010 at 3:44pm |
I keep writing responses to posts and then deleting them as know that they are grumpy (probably true but not very nice!).
Do other people do this? Or get fricken frustrated with things on here!

Hmmm, nope you're not alone - I often get my grump on, write things, then backspace and rewrite, and it still sounds harsh but it's a lot nicer than what I was going to put in the first place!

Yep... I often write whole replies then delete, or better yet, shut the laptop and walk away because I have realised my replies are probably not what some people want to hear and I can't be faffed getting into a scrap over it.
So no you're not the only one

I sometimes delete what I was originally going to post as I know I haven't articulated it well enough so there is a high chance someone will take offense.
Or sometimes I will just post it, then come back and delete or change it quickly before anyone replies cause I lose my nerve
Not very often though.

I tend to write something then realise it doesn't quite sound right and probably comes off a bit offensive or grumpy so I usually try to reword it but yeah... I mainly try not to post harshly because I haven't been on here for long.
Plus there are those that do speak their mind and then get attacked for it... Even if it might be true...

Totally agree which is why i tend to stay away from the 'heated' threads! I do applaud anyone that says wat they think, without trying to appease anyone, or be overly PC.
I do try and go by the mantra that if I can't say anything nice then I don't say anything at all.....but sometimes that means i sit here and roll my eyes, then have to walk away!

Yep I often write a whole post then delete it without posting. It makes me feel better just to type it out though.

I think every one wants to say it like it is sometimes for sure , I quite often think, .. um 'things' but I try not to be mean so in those cases I just say nothing.

Pleased its not just me then.
Bizzy, I often want to write things exactly as I think them and blame a hacker.
I sometimes think I would be banned completely from here if I wrote what I truly thought at times
