 Topic: OT - Commercials that make you cry!

Okay, this is totally OT, but you know the Telecom Keep in Touch commercial where the mum is on saying she hasn't seen her parents in 10 years, and they've never met her son, and someday they'll get home to Samoa to see them...
Well, it was just on TV, and I swear, every damn time it's on, I get all weepy when the family comes out at the end and they're all hugging. Is is mummy hormones? (No, I'm not pregnant!) Damn Telecom!!!!!!!!

the one that always made me cry was a hallmark one, where the old lady always walked out to her letter box every day and got no mail, the neighbour decided to send her a card which really made her day. Got me every time

I dont know about crying but that advert for mens deodorant where the sweat sprays out of him makes me gag (and used to make me vomit) to point I cannot watch it at all...

I used to love the Santa Coca Cola commercials... sad I know! That was nearly 12 years ago now 
I loved that Telecom one as well Katherine!
I hate- hate- hate- HATE the ones where they are like health insurance or piece of mind type things and they use babies in their adverts, I feel like making a complaint about those. It's just emotional bribery.

Katherine - saw that commercial a couple of hours ago and YES!!! I almost cried!!! Cold-heart herself!!! Can't cry at funerals but frigging Telecom ads set me right off.

I also hate the Sureslim adverts -- they make me SO mad! I look at my daughter and think, "Are there people out there who are wondering if their unborn babies will have weight problems?" Because to me, those ads are telling you to not only watch your weight, but to worry about your kids' weight when they're babies as well! Don't our girls have enough body issues already??? Sigh.

I don't watch tv much but the ones that always bring tears to my eyes are the holiday road ads - like when the ppl from the photos disappear..

Haha has anyone seen that gross mentos ad where the guys nipples poke out and are swinging around the whole time...so yuckky..
That Telecom ad with the videophone where the mother is seeing her son who is overseas on an oe or student exchange made me cry a little cause she was crying..

And yup, that holidays one where the people disappear from the photos...pretty sure I cried the first few times through that as well...always makes me pause at least when it comes on...the song as well is really sad.

I love the new telecom adds too - they get to me each time. I cry at most things though!
I fond that deodarant add hilarious - I still laugh when I see it!
And i love that holiday road toll add - we have the song in our collection, it is up there with the "I hurt myslef today' remake by Johnny Cash, and the one they play a lot on Without a Trace. Love depressing songs!!!

LOL my DH likes the primo adverts too...can anyone say Bimbos with boobies bouncing!!!
I do love those coca cola xmas ones...the lights are so amazing...they still have one with the xmas truck etc on it each year normally...

I love that one that used to be on where theres a lady whos daughter has just had a baby and she cries every time she packs something for it and her husband always rolls his eyes, then they go on a plane to see her and he cries when he holds the baby and the husband laughs.
I love the telecom ones too.
