Hi ladies, I am making some headbands for my soon to be lil girl and have some stretch lace to make it from, i want to make one that will fit her straight away and then stretch a bit should she be bigger or till like 4weeks...
what size was your daughters head NB?? what size would you recommend i make it to??

Addie's was 36cm but that's on the larger size for a NB. Just looking at the charts in the Well Child book, the range is approx 32-36cm, with the average 34cm

oh yeah and in 4 weeks it should increase by about 2.5cm

thanks wegee!!! I have enough to make quite a few so might start with 34cm and then let it stretch from there with her...
anybody else have head sizes for me??

Bella's head was 35cm and at 4 weeks was 38cm lol

Natalie was 34 nb, and 37.2 at 4 weeks. Lauren was 33.5 nb and 37.8 at 4 weeks.

Isla's was 37.5cm NB and was 39.5cm at 4wks........ it was a little on the large size but in proportion with all 11lb 8oz of her...... lol

36.6, 36.7 and 37 and all grew by about 2 cm at 4 weeks. They were all about 9lbs and 52 cms long.
Are you sure you want a visual on what is about to come out? lol

haha KIWI, i was just thinking that!! EEP!!! good thing i have NO idea what size she is lol...the lace is quite stretchy so if i base it on an average size it should fit even if shes a lil bigger

at the start could you use velcro instead of stitching the ends together, then you could adjust the length a bit more.
