I weaned my 9mth old from the breast last week and i still have a bit of milk in my breasts now, they are not hard though, i expressed last week after a couple of days after feeding stopped as they were soo big ,so should I express this little bit off or will it all just go by itself - don't laugh I'm CLUELESS i know!!!

In theory it should go by itself, but if not there are both homeopathic and other pharmaceutical remedies you can take to stop your milk production.

Not laughing I promise I was just as clueless when I was drying up the first time and my Mum laughed her head off when I rang to ask her!
If they're not sore and hard just let it go and they will dry up on their own.
I found I had a bit of milk in there for months after I stopped feeding but apparently that is normal.

If it is sore however dont try and express as that will stimulate the body to make more. Go stand under a warm shower so the water just dribble over your breasts. It will relieve the pain.

If you get engorged, I'd express the top off by hand but otherwise/afterwards, just leave it to dry up on it's own.
