Topic: Avent steriliser instructions, please! Posted: 21 March 2007 at 4:26pm |
Hi! I have just scored a 2nd-hand Avent steriliser for $5... bargain!! Being second-hand though it didn't come with instructions. Looks like I just tip water in the bottom, put the pump or bottles on the tray and microwave away - I just don't know for how long. Can anyone please enlighten me? Thanks

Depends on how hot your microwave is, 200mls and for 4 minutes with our microwave, it is very powerful.

i put 200ml for 5 mins but as everyone has said depends on your microwave. I did put for 7 mins and it was wayyyyyyy too hot that it would hurt but changed it down to 5 mins

yeah, it is the strength of your microwave. We have an 800watt, so it's 5 mins, but 3 (I think) if you have a 1000watt. And as evryone said, 200mls in the bottom.

We've got a 1100 watt microwave and we put it on for 4 mins and that seems plenty. 200 mls in the bottom like everyone else.

I do 4 minutes with 200ml of water... it took me about three weeks to figure out that the bottles and teats are supposed to go in a certain way, before then I was just throwing them in there
